1(4 4 4 I I Twenty-three Debutantes Presented At Clinton Cotillion Club Ball Boxwood grarlands, red carnations, and mag nolia foliage created a holiday setting for' the debutante ball of the Clinton Cotillion Club Wednesday, December 30, in Greenville Hall, Presbyterian College. Twenty-three young women were presented. Dancing to the music of Dan Ramsey’s Orches tra lasted until midnight. Samuel James Von Hollen served as master of ceremonies for the fifth annual debutante ball of the Cotillion. Guests were received at the entrance of the hall by Mrs. Reese Henry Young, ball chairman, and Mr. Young. Assisting were Cotillion offi cers: Dr. Norman Carl Wessinger, president, with Mrs. Wessinger; Mrs. George Pringle Cope- and,vice-president, with Mr. Copeland; Mrs. Robert Christopher Adair, secretary, and Mr. Adair; Thomas Francis Hollis, treasurer, with Mrs. Hollis, and Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey Arnold. After their presentation the debutantes and their escorts took part in the traditional figure. Next the young wortien and their fathers danced a no-break. Then followed nobreak dances with escorts. The debutantes led a grand march to the dining table, where refreshments were served. The dining table was centered with an arrange ment of red carnations and greens in a silver wine cooler flanked by silver candelabra which held lighted red tapers. Masses of magnolia leaves were used throughout the ballroom. The debutantes walked through a velvet-curtained entrance to be intro duced by Mr. Von Hollen and met by the ones who presented them. Flanking the platform were marble pedestals holding urns of red carnations. After presentation the debutantes assembled at the far end of the ballroom. The background consisted of white columns, garlanded with boxwood, and white latticework topped with boughs of magnolia. Each debutante carried a bouquet of red roses. Ball committee chairmen were Mrs. John Miss Jean Marie Abrams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Edward Abrams of Joanna, was escorted by James Michael Boyle and James Tim othy Power. Miss Janet Alexander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Abit Alexander, was escorted by Henry Allen Simmons and William Abit Alexan der, Jr. Mias Brenda Wier Baldwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eakin Baldwin, was escorted by Robert Rae Keller, Jr. and Dr. Stephen John Katzburcr of Hampton, Va. Bailey Arnold, Secretary-Treasurer; Mrs. William Plumer Jacobs, Calendar of Parties; Mrs. George Robert Blalock, Invitations; Mrs. Robert Chris topher Adair, Jr., Floor and Seating; William Malcolm Shields, Lighting; Mrs. Samuel James Von Hollen, Presentation; Mrs. Louis Moore Ste phens, Refreshments; Mrs. Robert Joseph Grube, Supervisor of Deubtantes; Mrs. Daniel Edwin Orr, Decorations; and Mrs. Thomas Francis Hol lis, Publicity. Miss Willa Linwood Pauline Cox, whose par ents are Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Cox, was es corted by Charles Thomas Newels, DoraviTle, Ga. and Stephen Ernest Floyd, Joanna. Miss Virginia Leaman Crocker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Arthur Crocker, was escort ed by Larry Griffin Reddeck and Robert Chris topher Adair. III. Mias Sara Patricia Davis, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Epps Brown Davis, was escorted by Kenneth Gerald Rice and Ralph Norman Tedards. Jr. Miss Frances Edna Cauley, daughter of Mr. Frank Edd Cauley and the late Mrs. Cauley, was escorted by Lon James Courtney, HI of Johnston and Keith Rogers Cauley. Mte Ma Banks Edenfleld, daughter of Mr. tod Mrs. John David Edenfield, was escorted by Donald Lee Crain, Rock Hill, and Richard Alynie Rogers. Mias Mary Susan FeDator, daughter of Mrs. Lollis Herring Hardy, Camden, and the late Cap tain Edward Minnis Felknor was presented by Dr. Lollis Herring Hardy and escorted by Brian Lee Klopman, Camden and Frank Edward Felk nor. also of Camden. Miss Kathryn Virginia Gault, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Gideon Gault, Jr., was es corted by Joseph Abbot Kinney of Marion and Marvin Carter Gault. Miss Joy Godfrey Gault, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun Folc Gault, was escorted by Larry Album Easterwood, Lithia Springs, Ga. and Thomas Lawrence Davis.
