went surgery, Friday.

at Bailey Memorial Hospital.
Clifton Heaton Sr. has been
ill at his home.
CHRISTMAS MEETING
The Dorcus Bible Class held
its annual Christmas meeting,
Tuesday night, December 8, at
Calvary Baptist Church, Mi s.
Eva West opened the meeting
with prayer and had devotion.
After the business Mrs. Bea
Hardman dismissed with
prayer. A lovely Christmas
supper followed the meeting
afterwards gifts were ex
changed. Guest was Mrs.
George Leopard of Saluda.
CHRISTMAS PLAY
The First Penticostal Holi
ness Church will have their
Christmas play Sunday night,
December 20. The title of the
play is “The Living Promise.*
The Rev. J. Furman Entrekin,
pastor gives the public a cordial

starts at seven o’clock p.m.

ing will not be held Saturday,

God of Prophecy on NorthSloan
Street due to the holidays.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
A Christmas Program will be
held Sunday night, December 20,
at the Church of God on Eliza
beth Street beginning at seven
o’clock. Included in the
program will be special sing
ing by a special choir, a panto-
mine by six girls, and also a
film of “God’s Gift".

announced the birth of a son,
Rossie Gerrold, on December
12 at Bailey Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bell is the former Miss

head of the Greenville County Mu
seum School of Art, poses with some

colors, drawings and prints show the
discipline of her medical ilustrator’s
background. Also on display as part
of the December art exhibition at P(
are the ixittery creations of Jon Foi-
mo of Columbia. Twenty-six of his
28 pieces are stonewear, ranging
from high-fired stonewear to RAKU
g'azes and from flowing designs to
deeply cut and incised surfaces. The
