He was a stepbrother of Mrs. Etta Fuller of Clinton. Other survivors include his wife, a sister, three brothers, two half-sisters. Funeral services were con ducted Thursday at Poseys Funeral Home with burial in sunset Memory Gardens. H. R. Templeton Harry R. Templeton, 64, of 132 Pine St., died Wednesday, 1 )ec. 2. A lifelong resident of Lau rens County, son of Mrs. Carrie Howell Templeton of Laurens nd the late R. t. Templeton, e was a retired employe of Lydia Mills. He was a member and deacon of Lydia Pentecostal Holiness Church, assistant su perintendent of ttie Sunday '•chool and a member of Pal metto Masonic Lodge. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Eva Barnett Templeton; two daughters, Mrs. Darleene Horger of Clinton and Mrs. Roy M. Pierce II of Union; a son, Joel S. Templeton of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Wham of Columbia and Mrs. Edith Fix of Laurens; a brother, Bruce Templeton of Columbia; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at Lydia Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial was in Holly Grove Baptist Church cemetery. H. A. Ficklin MARION, N. C.-Harry Albin Ficklin, 57, died Tuesday, Dec. 1. He was a brother of Miss Grace Flicklin, J.M. and D.D. Ficklin, all of Clinton. Other survivors include his wife, a son, three other brothers, a half-brother, another sister and four grand children. Funeral services were held Friday at Westmoreland-Haw- kins Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gar dens in Spartanburg. Mrs. Gaston ABBEVILLE - Mrs. Fannie Estelle Riddle Garron Gaston, 63, of Route 1, Abbeville, died Thursday. A native of Laurens County, she was a sister of Harold Riddle of Clinton. Other survivors include her husband, five sons, four sis ters, four other brothers, 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at Grendel Pente costal Holiness Church with burial in Edgewood Cemetery, Greenwood. Niles Richards Niles “Babe* Richards, 65, died Wednesday. He lived most of his life in Union and Clinton and was a retired employe of Lydia Mills. He attended Lydia Pente costal Holiness Church. Surviving is a stepson, James Shaw of Union. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Gray Funeral Home with burial in Rosemont Cemetery. William Campbell MOUNTVILLE - William Campbell, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 29. Born in Laurens County, son of the late Willice and Rachel Griffin Carwile, he was a re tried pullman porter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services were held Sunday at St. John Baptist Church in Cross Hill. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Owens WOODRUFF - Mrs. Ellie Whitmire Owens, 64, of Route 1, Woodruff, died Thursday in Greenville. She was a sister of R. E. Whitmire of Clinton. Other survivors include six daughters, a son, a sister, another brother, 11 grand children and a great-grand child. Funeral services were held Sunday. Mrs. Vinson SENECA - Mrs. Birdie Mae Smith Vinson, 73, of Green ville Highway, died Sunday. She was the mother of Mrs. Joel Cox of Clinton. Other survivors include her husband, a son, two other dau ghters, a brother, a sister, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Parkway Baptist Church with burial in Oconee Memorial Park. J. C. Slayton JOANNA - John C. “Steve* Slayton, 49, died Monday in Atlanta, Ga. A native of Anderson, son of the late John C. and Ledora Madden Slayton, he lived in Joanna most of his life and was a former employe of Joanna Mills. He was a veteran of World War IL Surviving are two sons, Ed ward and Ronald Slayton of Dover, N. J.; two daughters, Mrs. Sara Neives and Miss Barbara Slayton of Dover; a brother, Jack H.
