A “Car Contest” was held at
Mount Moriah Baptist Church
on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Following the devotion, a
welcome and a response, the
nature of the program was
given.
The members of the Ladies
Alert Club had chosen a car
for a financial drive. Mrs. El-
nora Summers (driver of a
Chevrolet) reported $114.00 and
was declared winner. Other
members reporting were, Mrs.
Veola Watts, Mrs. Pearl Rice,
Mrs. Mattie Livingston, Mrs.
Azalee Sanders, Miss Lucile
Dillard, Mrs. Aurelia Moon,
Mrs. Lucinda McMorris, Miss
Eva Sanders and Mrs. Elsie
Rice.
Participating choirs were
Springfield, Vaughnville, /ion
Hill, Hebron, Mount Calvary
and New Bethel.
