League Named Tri-County President Paul League, a native i Clintun, has teen named presi dent of Tri-County Publishing Co. in Lancaster. Tri-County Publishing Co. owns newspapers in Lancaster, F rt Mill, Ctiester, R ck Hill and Great Falls. Mr. League, sun of Mrs, R. M. Lffijjwfjind the late Mr. League, announced his re signation as publisher and edit or of the Seneca Journal, effective Jan. 8. He said he will remain a stockholder in The Journal Company, Inc., which publishes the bi-weekly Seneca Journal and the weekly Clemson Messenger. High News BY CLARE TURNER Mrs. David Beaty is a new teacher’s aide, working with Miss Irene Hipp who teaches eigth-grade mathematics, ninth grade Algebra I, and tenth- grade Algebra II. She helps with assignments, writing out absentee slips, keeping the classes when Miss Hipp leaves the room, and many other duties. The Physical Education Building is almost completed. A covered walkway will run from the far right side of the school building to the Physical Education Building. Report cards were issued .recently. Students who made straight A’s were Michele Cox, Teresa Coxwell, Daphne Gross, Susan Simmons and Karen Wes- singer in section 7-1; in section 7-2, Ruby Campbell, Tammy Franklin, Carol Hay, Arne Jacobs, Susie Oakley, Lou Ann Rogers and Patsy Sadler; Sanita Savage and Becky Wat ers, section 8-1; in 8-2, Jan Abrams, Libby Ballard, Gloria Longshore, Elaine Smith, Clare Turner andAnehaWindsor;Pa tricia Little in section 9-1; Linda Lawson and Lana Stephens, section 9-2; Kathryn Mitchell, Pat Singleton, Susie Grube, Brenda Campbell, and Alice Cheek in section 9-3,and in section 9-4, Carol Bailey, Debbie Bishop and Diane Ed munds. On Wednesday, November 25, Kathy Cunningham and Nancy Payne presented a Thanks giving program over the public address system. Appropriate psalms and prayers were read. During the Thanksgiving Holidays, Janet Crawford and her family visited her grand parents in Statesville, N. C. and Eleanor Pitts visited her cousins in Birmingham, Ala. Also during the holidays, the eighth grade Cantesuta Camp graduate of the University of South Carolina where he served as editor of the student news paper. He is a past president of the S. C.
