On Saturday, Mrs. Oliver and Vicki Lynn attended the Shrine Bowl game in Charlotte w ith the formers brother, John Kenneth UMrlck of Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Algie Abrams, Jr. of Spartanburg spent Thanksgiving with his parents and sister, Martha Ellen who was here for the holidays. She is a student at Newberry College. C. spent the week-end here with Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Mason and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wallenzine in Kinards. They recently return ed from a 21 months tour of duty in the Canal Zone. VISITS DAUGHTER Mr. and Mrs. Houston May and son Donald left on Wednes day before Thanksgiving to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Brook Hallman in Yuma, Arizona. They enjoyed touring points of interest in Mexico and California before returning on Saturday afternoon. ATTENDS CHITLEN STRUTT Mrs. Catherine Craven, Mrs. Lois Hair and MlssJoyce Smith was in Salley, S. C. last Saturday, Nov. 28, to attend the annual “Chitlen Strutt," at which around 12,000 attended. They enjoyed the country music, square dances, the parade and other activities dur ing the day and evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Tur ner joined by a couple from Laurens attended the “Chitlen Strutt" also in Salley. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sineath and Darren enjoyed the holi days in Bamberg with Mrs. B. H. Troupes and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Warren and Sharon. They also spent part of Saturday in Salley at their annual fund raising affair. HUNTER Miss Cooper Is Selected At Belhaven A Clinton student is among ten students named to student life committees at Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss. President Howard J. Cle- land said Cyndy Cooper, dau ghter of Mrs. Ruby Cooper, has been named to the social life and recreation committee. The students on the com mittees will work with members of the Belhaven faculty and staff in studying, evaluating and organizing various aspects of the student life program. A junior at the Presbyterian college, Miss Cooper is a mem ber of Tri-B and the year book and newspaper staffs. She serves as co-chairman of the Social Affairs Organization.
