Receives
Bronze Star
Army Staff Sergeant Bobby
C. Dallas, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Hiram N. Dallas, 705 E. Main
St., Clinton, recently received
the Bronze Star Medal in Viet
nam.
He was presented the Bronze
Star Medal for distinguishing
himself through meritorious
service in connection with
military operations against
hostile forces in Vietnam. The
medal, adopted in 1944, re
cognizes outstanding achieve
ment.
Sgt. Dallas, whose wife,
Dagmar, lives in Clinton, re
ceived the award while assigned
as hospital mess steward with
the 12th Evacuation Hospital
near Cu Chi, Vietnam.
The sergeant entered the
Army in November 1947 and
was last stationed at Ft. Sam
Houston, Tex. He also h Ids
the Army Commendation
Medal.
