Mrs. Neville
MONTREAT, N. C. - Mrs.
Molina Neville, 872 Louisiana
Rd., Montreal, N. C., died
Wednesday, October 7, In Bun-
comb County Hospital after a
long Illness.
She was a native of Spartan
burg, S. C., a veteran of World
War I, she was a former Navy
Yoemanette.
She Is survived by her hus
band, Rev. John C. Neville;
two sons, Edwin W. of Raleigh,
N. C., and Rev. John C., Jr.,
pastor of First Presbyterian
Church In Hendersonville,
N. C.; one sister, Mrs. E. L.
Demucci of New York City;
two brothers, E. M. Wilson, Jr.
of W. Palm Beach, Fla. and C.
C. Wilson of Armory, Miss.;
and four grandchildren.
Private graveside services
were held at 2 p.m. Friday.
Dr. George A. Taylor, offici
ated.
A memorial service was held
Friday In Gaither Chapel, Mon
treat, conducted by Dr. Taylor
and Dr. Calvin Thielman.
In lieu of flowers, the family
request that contributions be
made to Black Mountain Pres
byterian Home for Children.
Harrison Funeral Home of
Black Mountain was in charge.
Mrs. Milam
CROSS HILL - Mrs. Cor-
rine Nelson Milam, 74, of 123
Wells St, died Thursday in
Suffolk, Va.
A native of Laurens County,
she was a daughter of the late
Madison F. and Sara Ellen
Workman. She was a member of
Cross Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her hus
band, A. Rush Milam; three
sisters, Mrs. R. B. Austin of
Suffolk, Mrs. Volney Scruggs
of Chesnee and Mrs. Robert
Baugh of Lynchburg, Va.; and
a brother, J. J. Workman of
Hotvea Path.
Funeral services were held
Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home
with burial in Liberty Springs
Church cemetery in Cross Hill.
R. R. McCrary
COLUMBIA - Robert Ryan
McCrary, 54, of 314 Laurel
Springs Road, died Thursday,
October 8. He was a brother
of Mrs. William Blackwell of
Clinton and William H. Mc
Crary of Cross Hill.
Other survivors include his
wife, two daughters, and two
sons.
A native of Clinton, he was
a son of the late Robert James
and Francis Finney McCrary.
He was a vetern of World War
n and was retired from the
Air Force.
Mrs. Foggy
GREENVILLE -Mrs.Jannie
Foggy of 110 Bethel St, died
Wednesday, October 7. A na
tive of Laurens County, she was
the mother of Miss Annie Mae
Foggy of Clinton.
Other survivors include two
sons, four brothers, a sister
and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were con
ducted Sunday at New China
Baptist Church in Laurens
County with bur iel in the church
cemetery.

ORANGEBURG - Claude A.
Powell, 62, died here Satur
day. He was a brother of Hu
bert Powell of Clinton.
Other survivors include his
wife, a son, four sisters, three
other brothers.
Mrs. Borrineou
MANNING - Mrs. BeulahAlt-
man Barrineau, 76, died Sun
day. She was the mother of
Mrs. Julian Williams of Clin
ton and Mrs. G. W. Merchant
of Joanna.
Other survivors include five
sons, four other daughters, a
brother, 23 grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday at Shelley-Brunson
Funeral Home with burial in
Manning Cemetery.

jeopard, 77, of Route one,
Ninety Six, died at 4:20 p.m.
Wednesday, October 7, at Self
Memorial Hospital after a short
Illness.
Mr. Leopard was born in
Saluda County, a son of the
late W. E. Leopard and Mrs.
Annie Burnett Leopard. He was
a retired textile worker and a
member of Good Hope Baptist
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Parsida Butler Leopard; two
daughters, Mrs. Kathleen But
ler and Mrs. Evetta Griffith of
Saluda; three sons, Hubert Leo
pard of Clinton and Washington
and Walter Leopard of Ninety
Six; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice
Adams and Mrs. Viola Addy of
Saluda and Mrs, Roy Moffett of
Ninety-Six; 13 grandchildren;
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Friday at Good Hope Baptist
Church with the Rev. Grady
Fletcher, Rev. Ed Padgett, and
the Rev. Alton Brown officiat
ing. Burial was in the church
cemetery.
Pallbearers included Clifton
Heaton, Sr., Carroll Fulmer,
Tommy Neal, Jack Goff, Jun
ior Addy and Ed Clark.
J. N. Wright
JOANNA - John N. Wright,
79, of 205 N. Main St., died
Monday.
Born in Newberry County,
son of the late Daniel T. and
Ida Mars Wright, he was a re-
tirqg employe of Continental
Camp Co.
He was the last surviving
member of his immediate fami
ly.
Graveside services were
held Wednesday at Sharon Me
thodist Church cemetery in
Kinards.

For Nov. 15
November 15, is ‘Good News
Sunday’ in South Carolina. On
this Sunday the churches and
other related organizations in
our State will make available to
every citizen on a house-to
house basis a copy of the mod
ern English translation of the
New Testament “Good News
For Modern Man’.
This translation, published
by the American Bible Society,
is written in‘everyday’easy to
understand language that every
layman can understand. It Is
written to be used as a supple
ment to the Bible where it
can effectively be used to help
understand difficult passages.
This distribution is a pilot
project of the American Bible
Society as a part of the South
Carolina Tricentennial. The
testaments are a special Tri-
centennial edition printed just
for this project. This project
will be a gift of the churches
of South Carolina to the
Spiritual life of our State.
In Laurens County this pro
ject is being sponsored by
local churches and the Clinton
Christian Businessmen’s Com
mittee who need your prayer
ful and financial support

Monday. He was the father of
Mrs. Ferol Turner of Clinton.

wife, another daughter, three

grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were con
ducted Tuesday at Mon Aetna
Baptist Church with burial in
Union Memorial Gardens.
