Mrs. Sara Shelton, Mrs. An nie Stone, Mrs. Grace Dees, Mrs. Jessie Spoone and Mrs. Daisy Dowd attended the Dorcas Federation meeting at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbia, Sunday. Saturday afternoon at four o’ clock with a party at their home. All of her aunts and cousins were present for the occasion. Refreshments were served and a nice time was had by all. Rackley has lieen promoted to senior forester f< r Catawba Timber Co., at Clin ton, it was announced today. Rackley, a native of McCays- ville, Ga., has been a forester for the company at Clinton since 1967. Prior to joining Catawba Timber, he was a field super visor for Lowe Jacobs in Elli- jay, Georgia. He is a graduate of the Uni versity of Georgia with a de gree in forestry and wildlife. Following graduation in 1963, he served as an army instructor at Fort Belvoir, Va. Rackley is a memtier of the Society of American Foresters and serves as vice chairman f the Enoree Chapter.
