Set Monday
All boys wishing to play
YMCA Flag Football will meet
at the YMCA Monday, Septem
ber 14. The 8 and 9 year old
division will meet at 3:30 fol
lowed by the 10 and 11 year old
division.
It is hoped that a team In
each of the two age groups can
be secured from each of the
four elementary schools In the
area. This will make a four-
team league in each division.
Practice schedule and game
schedules will be set at the
Monday meeting.
Age groups will be divided
by grades. Boys in the 3rd and
4th grades will make up the 8
and 9 year old division and the
5th and 6th grades will makeup
the 10 and 11 year old group.
Boys who are in the third grade
and have not reached their elgth
birthday will be eligible to play.
Boys who are twelve years old
and attend the sixth grade will
be eligible to play, providing
they do not reach their thir
teenth birthday before January
1, 1971.
Bowling
Underway
The Textile and Industrial
leagues started the winter bowl
ing season this past week. The
Textile League started with 12
teams and the Industrial with 10
teams. There was some very
good bowling for an opening
night.
The Mens Roller Bearings
League will meet Friday morn
ing September 11 to organize and
start bowling September 18.
The ladles Palmetto League
will begin bowling Monday,
September 14. The Wednesday
Coffee Break League started
September 9.
All leagues still need a few
bowlers to complete some
teams and If you can not bowl
regularly you can be used as a
substitute. All mens league will
be affiliated with the American
