ter, Emily Dawn on July 17 In
the Newberry County Hospital.
Mrs. N. J. Sanders of Palat-
ka, Fla. spent several days this
week with her son and daughter-
in-law, Rev. and Mrs. M. J.
Sanders. Mr. and Mrs. Allen
Sanders and children also visit
ed his brother, Rev. Sanders
and family as they were moving
from Stuart, Fla. to Gainsville,
Fla. The Allen Sanders were
guests of her mother, Mrs. VI-
nolla Dunnaway in Clinton.

Students On
Furman List
Three area students have
been named to the Dean’s List
at Furman University for the
spring semester.
They are William P. Byers,
son of Mr. and Mrs. W. P.
Byers of Joanna; John H. Ful
mer, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. H. Fulmer of Clinton; and
Susan Beth Crawley daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Crawley of
Clinton.
In order to make the Dean’s
List, a student must be a full
time undergraduate student and
earn a grade point ratio of 3.2
or better on a four-point scale.
The Dean’s List is compiled at
the end of each of Furman’s
three terms.

South Carolina state parks is
the addition of the new Family
Vacation Village at Santee State
Park. The 20 octagonal cottages
sit on the moss-draped shores
of Lake Marion and are
completely furnished, air-con
ditioned and heated.

The services each evening at

POTATO-SAUSAGE
SKILLET
1 pound Italian-style
sausages
4 medium-sized potatoes,
peeled and thinly
sliced
3 large green peppers,
cut into strips
2 medium-sized onions,
sliced
1 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
Place sausages in cold,
large skillet. Brown slowly
on all sides. Pour off all but
1 tablespoon drippings. Add
potatoes, green peppers and
onions to sausage. Sprinkle
salt and pepper over ingre
dients in skillet. Cover and
cook slowly 20 minutes
Makes about 4 servings.
The lobster sheds its shell
14 to 17 times during the first
year. After five years, it
molts but once a year and
perhaps once in two years.
