SALVATION
WHO NEEDS SALVATION? Everyone;
“For all have sinned and come iihort of the glory
of God.” (Rom. 3:23). We cannot neglect salva
tion and expect to be saved. “How shall we es
cape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at
the first began to be spoken by the Lord . . .”
(Heb. 2:3).
WHY DO WE NEED SALVATION? “But
your inqiuties have separated between you and
your God, and your sins have hid his face from
you. that he will not hear.” (Isa. 59:2). And
Paul wrote, “For the wages of sin is death . . .”
(Rom. 6:23).
WHEN DO WE NEED SALVATION? “Be
hold, now is the accepted time;. behold, now is the
day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2). If there is a
tomorrow, it could be too late for you. “Whereas
ye know what shall be on the morrow.” (Jas.
4:14).
WHERE IS SALVATION? “Blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings ... in
Christ.” (Eph. 1:3). Not one spiritual blessing
can be our out of Christ.
WHAT IS NECESSARY ON OUR PART?
(1) Faith in Christ as the Son of God. (Mk. 16:.
16-16; Acts 16-31; Heb. 11:6). (2) Repentance of
sins. (Lk. 13:13; 24:47; Acts 17:30; Rom.
10:10; Acts 8:36-37). (4) Baptized into Christ,
for the remission of sins. (Mk. 16:16; Jon. 3:6;
Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21; Rom. 6:3; Gal.
3:27).
“For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness.” (Rom. 10:10).
‘Then hath God also the Gentiles granted
repentance unto life.” (Acts 11:18).
“With the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.” (Roan. 10:10).
“Baptized INTO Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 6:3;
Gal. 3:27).
