Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wright and
daagfcters, Darlene, Jackie and
Sylvia of Clover, S. C. were
gMSts last Friday of Mr. and
Mrs. Lather Wright coining
especially to attend the Hellams
- Gothrie wedding in Laurens, at
the Union Baptist Church. The
girls stayed with the Wrights for
a weeks vacation.
Cathy Ann and Bet Lollis of
Leveland spent last week with
their grandmother Mrs. Anna-
belle Martin, and Mr. and Mrs.
Mack Lollis. Mrs. Lollis con
tinues a patient at the Self
Memorial Hospital in Green
wood.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Corley
and children of Temple Hill,
Md. left on Monday after spend
ing the week with Mr. and Mrs.
Cecil Farmer. On Sunday their
guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Jimmy Farmer and children of
Easley.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Bennett
and children of Washington, N.
C. spent last week at Lake
Greenwood. They visited Mrs.
Ruby Bennett before returning.

with their grandparents, Mr.

visited Mr. J. D. Clegg at Self
Memorial Hospital in Green
wood on Sunday afternoon.

HONORS FATHER
On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs.
Efird Hays honored the latters
father, Mr. Buck Payton of
Spartanburg with a dinner at
their home on Calhoun Street.

of Dayton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Payton and Mrs. Gail
Pearson of Orangeburg, Mr.
and Mrs. Alton Pajdon and Mr.
and Mrs. Billy Mack of Clin
ton, and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
Bearden, Tracy Lee and Shane
of Enoree.

vention held at Souls Harbor
Church in Dallas, Tex. on Fri
day, June 19 through Tuesday,
June 23.
M/Sgt. and Mrs. Virlyn Dav
enport and family spent several
days with Mr. and Mrs. J. H.
Davenport Sr., before leaving
for Wichita Falls, Tex. M/Sgt.
Davenport returned on May 25th
from a years tour of duty in
Vietnam.
Sgt/lC and Mrs. Bill Moore
were Tuesday overnight guests
of Mr. and Mrs. George Morse.
Sgt. Moore is on a two weeks
special leave from his tour of
duty in Vietnam. His daughter,
Vicki, who was injured in an
automobile accident several
months ago, underwent a leg
operation in Columbia last
week.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs.
George Morse were Mr. and
Mrs. Bobby Kibler, Stacy and
infant daughter Tia Renee, of
Mauldin.
Mrs. E. L. Sanders of Bel
mont, N. C. will return this
weekend after a three weeks
visit with her daughter, Mrs.

Hawaii. After a 30 day leave

Anderson left by bus on Sunday
for a week at Myrtle Beach.
They will camp at the State
Park there. W’ith them are
“Skin’' Marshall and George
Marshall. They plan to take the
group to Wilmington, N. C. one
day to tour the ship U. S. North
Carolina.
