He was a brother of Mrs. Pauline J Shockley of Clinton. Other survivors include his wife, a son, three daughters, a brother, and a grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday at Kennedy Mortuary with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. t i W. P. Eaton GREER - W. P. Eaton, 85, of 5 Pennsylvania Ave., died Friday. He was a brother of Mrs. Lessie Harrison of Clin ton. Funeral services were held Sunday at Ridgewood Baptist Church with burial in Mount ain View Cemetery. John Little John Douglas Little, 64, of Rt. 3, Clinton, died Saturday. He was a lifelong resident of Laurens County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Little. He was a retired employe of Clinton Mill, a member of He bron Baptist Church and a mem ber of Masonic Lodge 3. Surviving are two sons, Char les D. and Linothy Little of Clinton; and five sisters, Mrs. Mattie B. Evans, Mrs. Fannie Lou Bell, Mrs. Alice Truitt, Mrs. Rebecca Little, and Mrs. Mary Lindsey of Clinton. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Hebron Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Campbell PELZER - Mrs. Mary King Campbell of Route 3, Pelzer, died Thursday. She was the mother of Paul Campbell of Clinton. Other surviviors include her husband, five daughters, four other sons, four sisters, two brothers, 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at Washington Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. William Simpson NEW YORK CITY - William Simpson, 44, died May 17. He was a native of Laurens County, S. C., son of Mrs. Tullyer Simpson and the late Wash Simpson. He was a mem ber of Falrview A ME Church in Clinton. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. MarySimpsoo;ason,Wil- He was born in Laurens coun ty and was a retired farmer. He had lived with a daughter in Oakdales Acres. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Rice; four sons, John Coleman Rice of Clinton and Lawrence T., Ozzie and Elliott Rice Jr. of Detroit, Mich., and four daughters, Mrs. Emily Ki- nard of Clinton, Mrs. Jose phine Wade of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Shirley Bobo of Sharon Hill, Pa., and Mrs. Lizzie Lou Sanders of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services were held Sunday at Mt. Pleasant A ME Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grant Cunningham Grant Cunningham, 74, ofS. Bell Street, died Thursday. He was a World War I vet eran and a son of the late Emma and Willie Cunningham. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rachel Cunningham; three sis ters, Miss Sunie Cunningham, Miss Mamie Cunningham and Miss Eloise Cunningham of Laurens, and a brother, George Cunningham of Laurens. Funeral services were held Sunday at Hopewell Baptist Church, Laurens County. Burial was in the church cemetery. Clinton Girl S. Dies After Struck By Cor A five-year-old Clinton girl died Friday morning after be ing struck by a car at about 9 p.m. Thursday. Irene Turner, daughter of Willie B. and Hattie Turner of N. Broad Street, died at 5:07 a.m Friday in a Greenville hospital She was struck by a car driv en by George Motes, 30, of Clin ton, according to Clinton Po lice desk sergeant Paul Quintxi The accident occurred on N. Broad Street. Survivors also include two sisters, Miss Shirlene Turner and Miss Mae Lee Turner of the home; two brothers, Ozzie B. Turner and Bobby Lee Tur ner of the home; her grand mother, Mrs. Willie Mae John son of the home. Funeral services were held Sunday at New Hope A ME Church in Mountville.
