Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Wil liams were in Coronaca Sunday evening where he spoke at the Coronaca Baptist Church while their pastor, Rev. Richard Moyer was at the Lydia Baptist church as music director dur ing the weeks revival services. Mrs. David Word and Miss Sue Word were visitors in Greenville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette were recent guests of his bro ther and sister-m-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Burdette in Calhoun Falls. Leslie Shook of Saluda spent the weekend with her grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Reece. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Reece, Tommy Reece and Leslie spent the day in Caro- leen, N. C. with Mr. Reece’s sister, Mrs. Howard Ray and Mr. Ray. Mrs. R. E. W'hitmireandMrs. Allen White were visitors in Greenville <>n Tuesday of last week. Mrs. J. W. Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Furman Childers vi sited in Laurens Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. William Stone and family of Anderson spent Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell.Sat urday evening Mr. and Mrs. Trammell visited her sister, Mrs. Paul Glenn and Mr. Glenn in Greenville. Friends hereof the Glenns will be sorry to learn that Mr. Glenn is quite ill at his home. Mrs. Lt as Pos with tier son, Steve Webb, Mrs. Webb and family enjoyed Sunday dinner at Lake GreenwiKKl. Mrs. Mary Fallaw spent a few days last week in Clems<>n with her daughter and son-in law, Capt. and Mrs. Douglas Rippy. Sgt. and Mrs. Billy Dicker- son and daughter spent a few days last week with his mo ther, Mrs. Mildred Dickerson and grandmother, Mrs. W. P. Terrell as they were enroute from Texas to his new assign ment in Key West, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin CfMiper and Miss Becky Cooper spent Sunday in Great Falls with Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Cooper and Mrs. George Wade. Mrs. S. B. Coop er returned home with her son and daughter-ui-law for a few days visit. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie James and family were Sunday supper guests of Mr and Mrs. Thomas James in Clinton. SURPRISE ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. Hugh Ballard was ho nored with a family surprise party on his 78th birthday Friday afternoon at his home. Enjoying the occasion with him were Mrs. Ballard, Miss Peggy Ballard, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O’Shields, Mrs. Reubin Blackwell and children and Mrs. Claude Bennett of Chicago, 111. who is visiting her parents. His birthday cake was cut and served with coffee.
