weekend in Rockmart, Ga. with
Mrs. Barlowe’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Virgil Reed. On Sun
day they attended the Atlanta
Braves - St. Louis ball game
in Atlanta, Ga.
Miss Priscilla Gaskins of
Anderson was home for the
weekend and until Tuesday with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn
Gaskins. Mr. Gaskins, David
and Bill enjoyed a camping trip
at Isle of Palms during the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. William Mc
Clain of Athens, Ga. and Mr. and
Mrs. James Hembree of Ware
Shoals were Sunday guests of
Mrs. McClain’s and Mr. Hem
bree's sister, Mrs. John Ed
monds, Mr. Edmunds and fami
ly.
Mr. and Mrs. David R. Cok
er spent Sunday in Laurens with
Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Gordon and
and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bailey.
Seaman Walter Coleman, sta
tioned aboard the USS Constell
ation in the Tonkin Gulf, off the
coast of Vietnam for nine
months has arrived back in
California. He is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Mason Coleman.
Mr. and Mrs. Ezzie Miller
and Jimmy and Mr. and Mrs.
Perry Parrish and Lami spent
the weekend on a fishing trip
staying at Moore’s Fish Camp
at Santee.
Mr. and Mrs. Major Craw
ford were with them Friday
night and Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O’Shields
spent Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Pace in Hender
sonville, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Arro-
wood of York were weekend
guests of her sister and bro
ther-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Jimmy Meeks.
Mrs. Verner Dees spent the
weekend in Asheville, N. C.
with her daughter, Mrs. Kath
leen Dees and son, Bill.
Mr. and Mrs. B..F. Harvey
and Misses Diaoftetfervey and
Becky Cooper were Saturday
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Bailey in Anderson. Later in
the day they visited the Keowee
Toxaway Duke Atomic project
near Pickens. Mrs. Bailey and
daughter, Melody, accompanied
them there.
Mr. and Mrs. Buck Meeks
visited Sunday m Abbeville with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Har
old Hughes. Her father is ill
at his home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Patterson,
Mr. and Mrs. Benny Owens and
Dwayne and Roger Patterson
spent the weekend in the North
Carolina mountains visiting
Maggie Valley and Cherokee.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mathis
spent the weekend visiting in
teresting points te North Caro
lina, going to Chimney Rock and
Asheville.
Mrs. Sidney Oakley left Sun
day from the Greenville-Spar-
tanburg for an extended visit
with her daughter and son-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Espieg
in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Parrish
with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wells
Jr. and children of Laurens en
joyed a picnic dinner at Lake
Greenwood for Mother’s Day.

REVIVAL IN PROGRESS
Revival services which are
in progress at the Lydia Bap
tist Church will continue
through Sunday evening with
Rev. R. Larry Wilson pastor of
the Poinsett Baptist Church in
Greenville as guest speaker.
Richard Moyers, pastor of
Coronaca Baptist Church,
Greenwood is the visiting song
leader.
The public is invited and the
nursery is open each evening at
7:15 p.m.
BROTHERHOOD TUESDAY
The Brotherhood will meet at
the Lydia Baptist Church Tues
day evening at 7:30 p.m. to go to
the Laurens County Home for a
worship service.
All men of the church are in
vited to meet with the Brother
hood.
