for the weekend. Friends will be
interested to know S/Sgt. Tho
mas is recouperating from
wounds received in Vietnam.
MOTHER'S DAY DINNER
Mr. and Mrs. White Tucker
of Ninety Six were in Joanna
on Sunday where the latter was
honored with a Mother’s Day
dinner at the home f Mr. and
Mrs. Eldon Tucker aNOGPick-
ens St. Others to enjoy the occa
sion were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy
Tucker of Ninety Six, Mrs.
Loretta Kendrick of Whitmire
and Mrs. Sherleen C 'gdill and
children of Laurens. Mrs. White
was remembered with gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simpson
of Meritta, Ga. spent the week
end with Mr. and Mrs. W. P.
White Sr. and visited Mrs. L

ley Memorial Hospital on Sat
urday.

Hingos, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul L. Hingos, Rt. 1, Hold-
ingford, Minn., has arrived for
duty at Duluth International Air
port, Minn.
Sergeant Hingos, an aircraft
engine technician, is assigned
to the 343rd Consolidated Air
craft Maintenance Squadron, a
unit of the Aerospace Defense
Command which protects theU.
S. against hostile aircraft and
missiles. He previously served
at Otis AFB, Mass., and has al
so completed a tour of duty in
Vietnam.
Sergeant Hingos is a 1951
uate of HoldingfordHighSchool.
His wife, Ruth, is the daugh
ter of Mrs. Geneva Lowery in
Clinton.
