Marshall High School Choir of Falls Church, Va., will present a concert this Saturday night, May 9, at 8p.m. in Belk Auditorium on the Pres byterian College campus. The 54-voice choir is under the direction of Mrs. Mary Gay Craig, a former resident of Clinton. The program will in clude a variety of music irom Brahms to Simon and GarfUn- kel. The purpose of the trip is to enable the students to meet young people in another area of the country. Falls Church is a suburb of Washington, D. C. The visiting choir members will be staying in homes of Clin ton High School students and also in dormitories at Presby terian College during the week end. Such a trip is planned annually for this purpose. The Presbyterian College Choir was guest of the George C. Marshall High School Choir in early April. The public is invited to at tend the concert. Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for students. Tickets may be pur chased at the door. All high school students at tending the concert are invited to an after-concert dance on the stage of Belk Auditorium; the “PJ.’s” will play. On Sunday morning the guest choir will sing at the 11 a.m. worship service at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton. HOW CAN I? McCullough, who told of the organization and activities of her club. The name “Get Together Club” was chosen and the fol lowing officers were elected: Mrs. Ethel (George W.) Cope land, president; Mrs. E. E. Cox, vice-president; and Mrs. O. B. Miller, secretary-treasurer. The club for senior members of our community is sponsored jointly by the two congregations, of local ambulance service attendants, hospital and industrial nurses and members of the Clinton Police Department. L OUTZ County Agent While riding in the Young’s Community this past week on Highway 101 at Durbin Creek, I found a community dump - course it isn’t hard to find! Some of the trash is being dump ed right into the edge of the creek and some on either side of the highway leading into High way 101. Local citiznes no doubt will have to locate and purchase areas for trash disposals. After this is done, the County will service the areas. To me, this is one of the most urgently needed programs to establish facing our citizens today. It has almost reached the point of becoming a serious health hazard. And man said, “Let us put our wastes in the waters that the dirt will be washed away.” And man did. And the waters became pol luted and foul in their smell. And man said, “It is good." On the third day, man looked upon the forests of the Earth and saw they were beautiful. And man said, “Let us cut the timber for our homes and grind the wood for our use." And man did. And the lands became barren and the trees were gone. And man said, “It is good." On the fourth day man saw that animals were in abundance and ran in the fields and play ed in the sun. And it was good.• For stubborn cases, use silver polish, or run the iron over table salt spread on waxed pa per. In the case of rayons and other synthetic fabrics, too hot an iron will cause sticking. Q. How can I accomplish a fast, neat, and painless leg shave with a blade razor? A.
