Win Awards At PC
Two students from the Clinton
area were among the 64 honored
at Presbyterian College’s an
nual Awards Day last Thursday
at which Dr. E. Walton Jones
of North Carolina State Uni
versity delivered the main ad
dress.
Paul R. Fallaw of Mount-
ville received the Jean Kirk-
ley Mathematics Award, and
Sophie Sullivan Young was a-
mong 15 cited for membership in
the Sophomore Academic Honor
Society.

Choir will present its annual
Spring Concert on Thursday
night, April 30, at 8 p.m. in
Belk Auditorium on the Pres
byterian College campus.
The 52-voice choir is under
the direction of Charles T.
Gaines, Assistant Professor of
Music. The public is invited to
attend the program which is part
of the college's fourth annual
Festival of Arts.
Gaines announced that the
choir would sing works by

the program. In honor of Beet
hoven’s two-hundredth anni
versary the choir, soloists, and
a string ensemble will pre
sent his Mass in C. The pro
gram will conclude with a var
iety of secular pieces ranging

The Bonnie Plant Farm is the sole producer of

Nematode Resistant Tomato/’
The Tomato is described as being red fruited,
sized medium to large; firm, smooth; uniform col
or (apple-green ripening from inside to bright red).
Th® plants have good cover, should be staked,
however, for beet results. The “Bonnie Nematode
Resistant Tomato” carries resistance to Vertkil-
lium, Fusarium and Nematode (root knot disease).
The vine is indeterminate (unlike many tomato
plante, the Bonnie Nematode Resistant Tomato
will bear until killed by frost).
Eight to ten inch plants will have tomatoes
ready to gather in approximately 70 days from
time of setting. The tomato is firm and a
good marketing tomato.
