Carthers of Elberton, Ga., visited Miss Zelle Crisp and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Adams Saturday afternoon. Joe Wham left Friday for Ft. Bragg, N. C. for an extended stay in the National Guards. Friends of Mr. Roy Adams are glad to know that he is able to be at home after and extend ed visit to Bailey Memorial and Self Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Luke Culp of Atlanta, Ga. returned home after visiting with her mother, Mrs. H. W. Bryson. Mrs. Tom Hayes and two boys of Duluth, Minn., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Finley. Mr. and Mrs. F inley met them in Atlanta. Also visiting the Finleys over the weekend were Mr. andMrs. Fur man Buchanan and family of Barnwell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Finley and children of Barnwell and Mrs. Arthur Wood of Belton. Mrs. Walter Lynch is with her mother, Mrs. Anna Bobo in Greenwood. Mrs. Mary Britt of Pomaria and Miss Frances Hentz of Aiken visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Adams and Miss Zelle Crisp Sunday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Frances Ducker of Macon, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Carter of Spartanburg spent the weekend in town. - Mr. and Mrs. George Talbert of'Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Watts of Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. J. Work man Jr. were the weekend guest at Mr. and Mrs. Horace Payne at their home on Lake Green wood. Ricky Corley of Columbia was a recent guest of the Work mans. Mrs. Irvin Q. Watkins, the sis ter-in-law of Mrs. Gary Boazman passed away last Wednesday. Mr. Watkins died on February 27, 1970. BIRTHS Recently Mrs. Nannie Mae Green gave a double pink and blue shower for her daughter- in-law and niece. On Tuesday, March 17, her daughter-in-law and niece gave birth to sons at Bailey Memor ial Hospital. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Earl Richey was Willie Jr. She is the former Miss Susie Hall. Willie Henry Jr. was born to Mr. and Mrs. Willie H. Hall She is the former Miss Mary Lois Green. Mrs. Mildred Lindsay and Mrs. Gladys Simpson spent a recent weekend in Atlanta with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White Jr. and Miss Janet Lindsay. While there, they visited many points of interest. Mrs. White and Miss Lindsay are the daughters of Mr. andMrs. Erskine Lindsay of Mountville. Mr. Michael Darbins, a stu dent at Howard University, ar rived in the city on Monday to spend the holidays with home folks on South Bell Street. He came via plane totheGreenville- Spartanburg airport. Mrs. Mildred Lindsay ob served a birthday on March 13. Mrs. Barbara A. Coleman of North Augusta spent the past weekend with her mother, Mrs. Bannah Adams and other rela tives on Gary Street. Miss Dorcas Jenkins of Jama- cia, N. Y., Mr. Andrew Jen kins of Baltimore, Md., Mr. John J. and Dorse Suber Jenkins and Mr. Watt Suber all ofWashington, D. C. were in the city during the past weekend. They came especi ally to visit Mrs. Dessie Jenkins of North Broad Street who is a patient at Bailey Memorial Hos pital. We hope for her an early re covery. Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Mr. Walter Spann who died recently in Flori da. He was the brother of Mrs. Julia Taylor and Mr. Goggan Spann of this city. Rev. and Mrs. Fred W. Gist and children visited Mr. and Mrs. Curtis B. Inabinitt in Char leston and other relatives in Wal- terboro during the past weekend. While there they had an oppor tunity to visit with many relatives who were also visiting from Chi cago, Illinois as New York City. COMING EVENTS Rev.
