C., Jan. 1, 1970—1-B welve Debutantes Are Garlands of boxwood, red roses and massed magnolia foliage created a Yuletide setting for the Debutante Ball of the Clinton Cotillion Club Tues day night in the Hotel Marv Musgrove ballroom. Twelve daughters were presented by their fathers, and later danced until midnight to the music of Dan Ramsev and his orchestra of Char lotte, N. C. Hugh Shockley Jacobs was master of ceremo nies for the club’s fourth annual ball. Guests were received in the hotel lobby by Mrs. Charles Edwin King, ball chairman, and Mr. King, assisted by the officers of the Cotillion Club, Mrs. George Robert Blalock, president, with Doctor Blalock; Dr. Norman Carl Wessinger, vice presi dent, and Mrs. Wessinger; and Dr. James Mac donald, treasurer, and Mrs. Macdonald. Order of Presentation In the order of their presentation, the debu tantes were Miss Rebecca Crisp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bryson Crisp of Mountville, escorted by Edgar Lee Benjamin, Jr., and Neil Shepherd Crisp, both of Mountville. Miss Lee Young Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Washington Watts Davis, whose escorts were Theodore Augustus Peterson of Orange Park, Fla., and Washington Watts Davis, Jr. Miss Marilyn McRae Fryfogle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Evans Fryfogle, escorted by Michael Wilson Satterwhite of Milledgeville. Ga.. and Collie William Lehn. Miss Kathryn lone Arnold, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey Arnold, escorted by Cur tis Hendricks Ellison, Jr., of Greenville, and Milton Pern- Moore. Mi ss Rita Ann Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olin Cannon Johnson, whose escorts were Al fred Lynn Bixler. Jr., and Michael Olin Johnson. Miss Melissa Barnes Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Turner, escorted by Hol brook Wyman Raynal of Clemson and William Brunson Ballard. Miss Mary Louise Wham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mellette Wham, whose escorts were John Douglas Gilden of Green wood and Jo seph William Wham. Miss Antoinette Dillard Ellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Baynard Ellis of Dillon, escorted by John Geist Black of Dillon and James Gilder Bouknight of Lamar. Miss Sara Lynn Wysor, daughter of Mrs. Rol>- ert Edward Wysor, III, and the late Mr. Wysor, whose escorts were James Michael Gower of De catur, Ga., and Robert Edward Wysor, IV. She was presented by her uncle, John Beverly Jordan, of Kinston, N. C. Miss Sharon l/ouise Plaxico, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Tom Plaxico, whose escorts were Allen McKittrick Knight. Jr . of Pelzer and David Thom as Plaxico. Miss Susan Jane Jacks, daughter of Mr and Mrs. James Rutledge Jacks, escorted by Donald Rueben Adams of Union and Jamea Rutladge Jacks, Jr. Miss Kathy Lee Bouknight, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Alton Bouknight, escorted by William Arthur Weir and Harry Alton Bouk night, Jr. Following the presentations, the debutantes and their escorts took part in the traditional fig ure, and afterwards fathers and debutante daugh ters danced a special no-break. No breaks with their escorts followed. Grand March From the ballroom, the debutantes led a grand march into the dining room where refreshments were served. The orchestra later played for danc ing. Masses of magnolia leaves were used through out the ballroom for the occasion. The debutantes walked through a velvet curtained entrance where they were introduced by Mr. Jacobs, and met by their fathers, who presented them. Flanking the platform were marble pedestals holding urns of red roses. Following the presentation, the debutantes assembled at the far end of the ballroom against a background of white columns with boxwood, and w’hite latticework topped with boughftof magnolia. Each debutante carried a l>ouquet of red roses. The dining room table was centered with an arrangement of red roses and greens in a silver epergne.
