The Baptist Church members were invited to Cross Hill Wed nesday night to hear Miss Grace Wells of Sumter, a retired miss ionary from Indonesia, tell about her work and teach “Sons of Ismael.” A number of the young people of the Baptist Training Union attended the fall rally at Chest nut Ridge Baptist Church. supper guests Friday of his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. WITH THE SICK Miss Rebecca Shelton, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Shel ton, has been confined to her home for about 10 days due to a severe case of bronchitis. Mrs. J. Furman Entrekin and Mrs. Eva West are among the patients at Bailey Memorial Hos pital. Monty Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens, is a patient at Greenville General Hospital. Mrs. Virginia Reeder is a pa tient at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Among those who have been ill with the virus include Mrs. L. C. Heaton, Mrs. Glenda Do minick, Mrs. Carolyn Wil banks and children, and Robbie Wells, all of this city. Friends ofMrs. Fannie Patter son will be interested to learn that she has returned home af ter undergoing surgery at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. She is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Andy. Hames, for awhile. Rickey Alexander of Joanna has been sick. Brandt, Mr. Wyman M. Shea- ly, and Mr. Walter A. Sigman Jr. Mr. I Lester Longshore was elected by the congregation to complete the remaining term of the late Mr. R. L Boland. These newly elected to the council will be instaUed at a worship service in December, to officially take office on Jan. 1, 1970. Those elected to three-year terms will replace Mr. R. Floyd Bundrick, Mrs. Lewis C. Pitts, and Mr. Shelton J. Rimer, all of whom complete their term of of fice at the end of this year. Einord Assigned Army Private First Class Morris T.
