PURSUANT to a Decree of the
Court in the above stated case,
I will sell at public outcry to the
highest bidder, either in or in
front of the Court House, at Lau
rens C.H., S. C., on Saleday in
December next, being Monday the
1st day of the month, during the
legal hours for such sales, the

All that certain piece, parcel,
or lot of land, lying, being, and
situate Southwest of South Caro
lina Highway #308, with dwelling
house thereon, North of the cor
porate limits of the City of Clin
ton, in Laurens County, South
Carolina, which lot is bounded,
now or formerly, as follows:
Northwest by land of H. Earl
Pitts, 200 feet thereon (said land
being shown as a proposed road
on a plat of sub-division of pro
perty of H. Earl Pitts, made
by S. T. Martin, R.L.S. #1002,
dated 31 December, 1963): on
the Northeast by South Carolina
#308, 75 feet thereon; on the
Southeast by Penland lands, 200
feet thereon; and on the South
west by other lands of H. Earl
Pitts, 75 feet thereon. Said lot
of land is on the Northeast ptir-
tion (if that certain lot of land
conveyed to H. Earl Pitts by
Modern Homes Construction
Company by Deed recorded in
the Office of the Clerk of Court
for Laurens County in Deed Book
160 at Page 542.
TERMS OF SALE: Cash.
The successful bidder, other
than the Plaintiff herein, im
mediately upon the conclusion of
the bidding, shall deposit with the
Probate Court the sum of 10%
of his money bid as a guarantee
of his good faith in the bidding.
The same to tie applied to the
purchase price upon his com
plying with the terms of sale,
otherwise to be paid to Plain
tiff for credit on the indebted
ness. In the event the successful
bidder should fail to make such
deposit, or should fail to comply
with the terms of sale, the said
lands shall be re-sold on the
same or some subsequent Sales-
day on the same terms, at risk
of the defaulting purchaser.

Department has reported.

Emory P. Austin, Jr., director
of the Motor Vehicle Division,
said this was “one of the smooth
est” license years longtime offi

trend toward using the middle
