Dailey James Baxter Dailey, 71, of 49 Sunset BlvcL, died Monday. He was a native of Cornelia, Ga., but had made his home in Clinton most of his life. He was a son of the late Thomas and Martha Ragsdale Dailey. He was a merchant and a member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Calitri Dailey; two sons, Bob D. Daily of Spartanburg and J. Darrell Dailey of Hick ory, N. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Orpha Dailey Whitfield of Cor nelia, Ga., Mrs. Donnie Dailey Wise of Newton Square, Pa., and Mrs. Jewell Dailey Gowder of Shannon, Ga., three brothers, L. P. Dailey of Clinton, Ira Dailey of Atlanta, Ga., and Marvin Dai ley of Cornelia, Ga.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at the Gray Mortuary. Burial was in the Pine- lawn Memory Gardens. L E. Bostic WARE SHOALS - Ira Eddie Bostic, 56, of 30 Fairview Ave., Ware Shoals, died Monday in a Greenwood hospital. He was the brother of Mrs. WANTED: Director For Neighborhood Youth Corps Must be college graduate under 35 years of age. Apply; COMMUNITY ACTION. Inc. Room 201 Laurens Federal Savings and Loan Building Laurens, S. C. Ray Chandler of Cross Hill. Other survivors include his wife, two sons, another sister and two grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. 'Bub' Davis KIN ARDS - Julius (Bub) Da vis, 73, of Kinards died Wednes day, Aug. 6, in a veterans hospi tal in Augusta, Ga. A native of Newberry, he was a son of the late Kathy and Ralph Davis. He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Mae Davis of Ki nards; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lu cinda Glasgow of Washington, D. C.; a sister, Mrs. Lula Gilliam of Clinton; and a brother, Millage Davis of Hellena, S. C. Thompson’s Mortuary in Clin ton is in charge of funeral ar rangements. Mrs. Hambrick Mrs. Eva Wells Hambrick of 208 North Owens St., widow of Talmadge Hambrick, died Mon day in a Greenwood hospital. She spent most of her life in Laurens County and was a daugh ter of the late James C. and Rosa Hill Wells. She was employed in a retail store in Washington, D. C., and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ray Smith of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a stepson, Herman Ham brick of Charleston, West Va.; four sisters, Miss ThemlaWells, Miss Maude Wells and Miss Sue Wells of Clinton and Mrs. Mary Beall of Clinton. She was the mother of Mrs. C. P. Wilson of Clinton. Other survivors include four sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Saturday at Mackey Mortuary with burial in Bring- wood Cemetery. * * * Mrs. Boyce LYNCHBURG - Mrs. Mamie H. Boyce, 81, died Saturday at a Sum ter hospital. She was the mother of Roy L., J. Elbert and T. Marion Boyce, all of Joanna. Other survivors include ano ther son, Vernon Boyce of Lynch burg; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mag gie Sutton of Lamar; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Monday at Lynchburg Bap tist Church with burial in the Campground cemetery near Lynchburg. * * * Mrs. Summer NEWBERRY - Mrs. Ella Sligh Summer, 80, died Saturday at a Charleston hospital. She was the mother of Mrs. John William (Kathryn) Hamm of Kinards. Other survivors include three sons, three other daughters, two sisters, a brother, 21 grandchild ren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Monday at Ebenezer Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. * * * J. S. Lanier CARLISLE - Jake Sidney La nier, 72, of Route 1, Carlisle, died Thursday. He was the father of Arthur J. Lanier of Clinton. Other survivors include his wife, three daughters, three other sons, one sister, 17 great-grand children and seven grandchild ren. Funeral services were con ducted Saturday at Unipn Church and Bible School with burial in Sunset Memorial Cenietery. * * * E. H. Rowland ANDERSON - Eugene H. Row land, 73, of 336 Tribble St., An derson, died Monday. He was a brother of Sloan and Mason Rowland of Joanna. Other survivors include his wife, stepmother, a daughter, a step son, three stepdaughters, three sisters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
