Pick over and wash 1
quart blueberries; drain.
Make a smooth paste of the
following ingredients:
V4 cup cold water
5 tablespoons all-purpose
flour
Pinch of salt
Bring to a boil:
1 cup blueberries
1 cup sugar
Ms cup water
When boiling, add the
flour paste and stir until it
thickens. Remove from
stove and cool. When cool,
add the remaining 3 cups
of raw blueberries and put
into 10-inch baked pie shell.
Refrigerate. When cold,
garnish with sweetened
whipped cream.

Leave Abandoned
Wildlife Babies
Abandoned wildlife babies often
are not without a mother until
someone ' takes it home; The
moral of-this story is leavfe young
birds and animals where you find
them, states the South Carolina
Wildlife Resources Department.
This is the time of the year
when fawns and other young may
be found in the fields and
woods. They appear to be lost be
cause their motlier is not in sight.
She has left her offspring in a safe
spot while she goes off in search
of food. The Department wishes
to emphasize that not only is it in
human to make a pet out of them,
it may also be against the law.
Young animals quickly grow up
to become adults with adult ha
bits. Deer have severely injured
their owners by stricking with
razor-sharp hooves or needle
point antlers. Racoons and skunks
bite without warning. Remember
the safety of yourself and your
children if you are tempted to take
home a wildlife youngster.

FBI’s Hoover
Presents Medals
To Young Heroes
Nine heroic members of the
School Safety Patrol received
American Automobile Associa
tion Gold Lifesaver Medals in
ceremonies conducted in
Washington, D. C., by J. Edgar
Hoover, director of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation.
They were complimented by
Mr. Hoover for their quick and
courageous response which
saved the lives of schoolmates
in traffic accidents.
George F. Kaehlein, Jr., ex
ecutive vice president of the
AAA, said that the traffic
death rate of school-age chil
dren has dropped nearly 50 i>er
cent since the school safety
patrols were established,
“while the death rate for all
other pedestrian age groups
has doubled.”
The recipients of the medals

IPTAY Ticket
Priority Period
Closes Sunday
CLEMSON - The priority
period for Clemson IPTAY mem
bers to order their 1969 football
tickets is now in its final days.
Ticket officials have an
nounced that in order to take
advantage of the full priority re
ceived by IPTAY members, their
ticket applications must be post
marked no later than Sunday, June
15th.
Ticket applications have been
mailed to all paid-up IPTAY
members, which now numbers
over 7,500. Any old member mak
ing his contribution within the
priority period, or anyone joining
for the first time, will be given
a ticket application enabling them
to order within the priority
period.
Season ticket orders will be
filled first and ticket officials
have urged members to buy sea
son tickets whenever possible as
this gives the purchaser the same
seat year in and year out.
For all home games students,
high school age and under, will
be admitted at Gate 11 for $1.50
each, unless the sale of reserved
seat tickets warrants otherwise.
In the event tickets are not a-
vailable at this price, an an
nouncement will be made as soon
as possible prior to the game in
question.
An announcement will be made
later regarding the sale of tick
ets to the general public. All
tickets will be mailed approxi
mately August 1st.
