Miss Marilyn Fryfogle has re
turned to Converse College, al
ter spending the spring vaca
tion with her parents. While at
home, she and Mrs. Fryfogle had
a surprise birthday dinner for her
father, and her sister, Pat, both
born on March 19th. Mr. Fry-
fogle’s mother, who makes her
home with them, celebrated her
84th birthday on March 7th.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Teague
spent Sunday in Gaffney with Mr.
and Mrs. Steve Tollison.
Mrs. C. Wayne Jarvis, Jenny
and Stanley spent Friday with
Mrs. Ethel R. Pitts. Jenny ‘re
mained to spend the weekend
with her grandmother.

They were neighbors in St Pe
tersburg, Fla., 27 years ago.

Jack Ferguson student at Duke
University was home for the
weekend with his mother, Mrs.

Mrs. W. L. Marshall visited
Mrs. Marshall Sr., recently in
Wadesboro.
Mrs. George Senn, Elizabeth,
Foster and Wilson of Newberry
are visiting Mrs. Senn’s mother,

Commander of the American
Legion.
Mrs. Nannie Hitt who has been
a patient at the Laurens Nursing
Center, is a patient at Bailey Me
morial Hospital.

Hap McSween, graduate student
at the University of Georgia,
Athens, visited his parents, Mr.

spring holidays.

Danny Ray Hedgepath is serv
ing in the Marines at Paris Is
land for a tour of duty for six
months. He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Hedgepath and is
married to the former Kay Bolt
of Hickory Tavern. Sunday they
will observe their 1st anniver
sary. Danny will also observe a
birthday on March 21.

Last week the seniors voted
on speakers for Award’s Day.
Jim Johnson will lead the Award’s
Day prayer, and Drew Trammell
will lead the prayer during Com
mencement. David Mixon was
elected Class Poet and Mary Lou
Simpson was elected Class His
torian. Also among the leading
seniors are GusRamage and Tor
rence Shealy, Valedictorian and
Salutatorian, respectively.
Tuesday during homeroom the
seniors completed their activity
sheets and medical reports. The
medical reports indicate any phy
sical defect of the student. The
activity sheets are marked to in
dicate the clubs, sports, and
honors which the students merit
ed during their four years at CHS.
The members of the cast of “My
Fair Lady" have begun working
on their parts. This musical can
only be successful if each CHS’er
is willing to do his part by sell
ing tickets, encouraging attend
ance, or building props and
scenery. If you know of anyone

who can draw, paint, sew, or
construct, please notify one of the
directors, for every helping hand
will be greatly appreciated by all!
Today at noon some members
of the National Honor Society will
attend a convention in Conway,
S.C. The delegates selected to
attend are Wanda Corley, Debra
Farmer, and Tam Nabors, who
will be chaperoned by Mrs. Lewis
Wallace. BabsHandback Is being
sent as a candidate for state
secretary of the NHS. These de
legates will be staying in the
homes of fellow NHS’ers of Con
way, and they will attend lec
tures and several tours one of
which will be a tour of Myrtle
Beach. The convention will come
to a close after the Friday night
banquet and the students will re
turn during the weekend. We all
wish Babs the best of luck with
her campaigning, and we all hope
that she will be elected secre
tary of our state National Honor
Society!
BREAKFAST PLATTER
5 eggs
4 cup dairy sour cream
4 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoon pepper
Combine eggs, sour
cream, salt and pepper
Beat until combined
Grease and heat a 10-inch
skillet over medium heat
Pour in egg mixture When
eggs begin to thicken stir
with a wooden spoon until
set .Spoon onto oval platter
Garnish with bacon strips
Four servings.
