At Kiwanis Meet
Ray Fernell, manager of the
Southern Bell Telephone Co. of

speaker at tonight’s meeting of
the Clinton Kiwanis Club.
The meeting will be held at
Mary Musgrove Hotel.
Fernell will present a pro
gram entitled “Tough Tone Tele
phone and the Consumer,’ pre
viewing the telephone’s role in
consumer buying of the future.
Workers Needed
The S. C. State Employment
Service now has openings for
workers to help harvest citrus
fruit in Florida.
A spokesman for the local Em
ployment office said, “These Jobs
offer good wages, free housing,
meals at a nominal cost and
transportation to Florida will be
arranged for you. If you would
like to go to sunny Florida to
work, picking oranges, grape
fruit, etc., get in touch with the
Farm Placement representatives
at your local S. C. State Em
ployment Service office. A bus is
to leave Clinton Tuesday.’

18 years of age.
