that an action has been com
menced and is pending in this
Court upon a Complaint of the
above named Plaintiffs against
the above named Defendants for
the purpose of ordering the sale
of the tract of land hereinafter
described and providing for the
disposition of the proceeds of the
sale. The said tract of land be
ing described as follows:
“All that piece, parcel, and lot
of land lying and being in Jacks
Township No. 6, about four miles
from the City Limits of Whit
mire, South Carolina, lying on
the North side of the Whitmire-
Clinton Highway (known as the
Calhoun Highway), and containing
three and eight-tenths (3.8)
acres, more or less, being known
and designated as Lot No. 3 on
a plat prepared by J. S. - J. R.
Crawford, dated August 1, 1953,
and recorded in Plat Book 9,
Page 105, in the office of the
Clerk of Court for Laurens Coun
ty. This being the identical lot
conveyed to L. C. Bostic by deed
of Mary Ann Murphy, October 19,
1953, and recorded in Deed Book
110, Page 297, in the office of
the Clerk of Court for Laurens
County. For a more detailed de
scription of the said lot, see the
above cited plat and deed which
are incorporated herein by re
ference.”

Referendum

The Laurens and Greenville
Soil and Water Conservation Dis
trict Supervisors held a Public
Hearing on Tuesday, November
26, on the creation of the Rabon
Creek Watershed Conservation
District, pursuant to provisions
of the watershed act of the Gen
eral Assembly of South Caro
lina 1967. The hearing was held
at the Hillcrgst High School on
U.S. 276 n^ar the Greenville-
Laurens County line and was fa
vorable in everv respect.
At the meeting uie supervisors
set the date for the referendum
oo the erealioa of the Water
shed district for Tuesday, Jaa-
na?* 7, 1969. Polling places fet
the Laurens Coaaty area will be
at Hickory Tavera ikdGray Court
AH qualified electors of the wa
tershed district shall be eligible
to vote in the referendum. “The
district supervisors shall have
complete charge of the referen
dum and appoint the necessary
box managers. The Act.
Ryan F. Lawson, Chairman,

the supervisors are to determine
if the Rabon Creek Watershed is
