Scott Hammet, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Hay Hammet, who is
a student at Darlington Military
School, Rome, Ga., spent the
weekend with his parents.
Mrs. John Frampton of Char
leston joined Mrs. George W.
Taylor here and they spent the
past weekend in Blowing Rock,
N.C.
Mrs. Robert E. Wysor joined
her sister, Miss Margaret Kent
Bell in Asheville today and they
are spending a few days with re
latives in Stauten and other points
in Virginia.

Mr. Charlie Cooper spent a re
cent Sunday in Charlotte with
their sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ashmore.
Mrs. James Rainey of Water-
boro, is spending two months with
her parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. H.
McFadden, while Mr. Rainey is
taking basic training with the
U.S. Navy in Orlando, Fla.
Kenneth and Bobby Thomas at
tended the Charlotte “500” Race
Sunday.
The Delta Kappa Gamma had
a luncheon meeting at Holiday Inn,
Greenwood, on Saturday, Oct. 19.

in Atlanta last week where they
attended the national convention

ers Association held at the Mar

Mrs. Roy Edwards of Orange
burg is visiting her daughter,

Ray, coming especially to see
her granddaughter.
Mr. James R. Parks Sr., of Rt.
5, Union passed away on Monday
afternoon at a Lockhart. He was
the brother of Mrs Sandy Garner
of Clinton.
Wayrfe Dixon who is stationed
in California with the U.S. Navy
spent a short leave with Mrs.
Dixon and his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Dixon.
LOSES BROTHER
James Reeford Parks Sr., of
Rt. 5, Union died Monday after
noon in a Lockhart hospital. Fun
eral services were conducted
yesterday at the Phillipi Baptist
Church. Survivors include a sis
ter, Mrs. Sandy Garner of Clin
ton.
The hairy blenny, a small fish
exhibited at Marine land of Flori
da, has hairlike growths which
form “eyebrows" over its eyes.
CHS Class of '58 Has Reunion
The Clinton High School class
of 1958 held its 10th reunion Oct.
12 at the Mary Musgrove Hotel.
Mistress of ceremonies was
Mrs. Jim Casque, the former
Jane Anne Davis, now “Miss
Anne’ of the Romper Room tele
vision show.
Following the banquet, a pro
gram was presented by Dolly
Crouch, David Watts andYinEn
Smith. The program was based
on the class prophecy, written
in 1958, and what the former
pupils are doingm'w.Surprising
ly enough, some of the prophies
have come true.
The invocation was given by the
Rev. James T. Hughes of Gray
Court and the benediction was

Mrs. Crumlin was the mother
of the Rev. W'allace Crumlin of
Clinton. She died Tuesday morn
ing at Spartanburg General Hos
pital after a brief illness.
She also is survived by four
other sons, two of whom are
ministers; two daughters, a sis
ter, three brothers, 24 grand
children and two great-grand
children.

Three Clinton girls, Misses
Jan King, Claudia McClary and
Joy Gault, who attended Girls’
State last June as delegates at
the University f South Carolina,
were presented to the American
Legion Auxiliary on Tuesday
evening when it met at the home
of Mrs. T rank Miller.
