CARPETED STATION
Concrete has a tough time at
a gasoline station. And carpeting
is getting just as rigorour a
trial at a gas station in Green
ville. It is carpeted from rest
rooms to the street. The in
stallation required 1,300 square
yards of bright red indoor-out
door carpeting worht approx
imately $8,000. About 150 cars
a day, tracking dirt and dripping
oil and grease, have rolled over
the carpeting since it was in
stalled last October.

MELON DUST - Diseases are
bad to attack cantaloupes and
watermelons at this time of ,ear
and especially after rains. Dust
or spray with a good fungicide
such as Maneb or 7ineb. Don’t
wait until it is too late, check
often. The same is true with
tomatoes.
HANG BROOMS - Never stand
a broom or brush on its bristles
in the closet. Screw a cup-hook
at the end of the handle and hang
it up so the bristles don’t touch
the floor. This prevents th« brush
from losing its shape or wearing
out sooner than necessary.
