Wednesday for Mrs Bemu
Nelson Madden, 71, who died
Sunday at a local hospital af
ter a sudden illness.
Services were conducted at
Clinton Mortuary with burial
in Leesville Methodist Church
cemetery Route 1. Clinton
Mr- Madden, widow of
Charlie L Madden, resided
on Route 1, Clinton. She was
a daughter of the late Joe C
and Kmma Sue Nelson and
was a member of Imesvilh
Methodist Church.
Survivors include three
sons. Claude A. Madden ol
Clinton Walter L. Madden of
Fountain Inn and D. A Mad
den of Laurens, two daugh
ters. Mrs Abraham (Marv
Brown and Mrs. Frank
(Chnstal) Barton of Califor
nia. four brothers, Dexter M

died early Monday at his
home at 604 Farley Ave. after
a sudden illness.
Mr. Lowery served as sher
iff of Laurens County from
1953 to 1956.
A native of Mississippi, he
was a retired merchant.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Nell Grubb Lowery.
Funeral services were con
ducted Wednesday morning
at Kennedy Mortuary with
burial in Mountain View
Cemetery in Seneca.
