went and of castles there. At
the conclusion of her talk she
was presented a gift.
The hostesses assisted by
Mrs. L. R. Adams served a
delicious salad plate with
punch and lemon cake.
The club enjoyed a picnic
at Camp Fellowship in July.

A. Baldwin, 94, of Rt. 1, Gray
Court, who died Wednesday.
Burial was in the Rabon
Creek Baptist Church ceme
tery, with Rev. John M.
Lynch officiating at the ser
vices. ;
He was a native of Laurens
County, Rabon Creek com
munity, a son of the late Jos
eph A. and Eliza Armstrong
Baldwin, and was a member
of Rabon Creek Baptist
Church. His first wife was the
late Mrs. Lula Abercrombie
Baldwin.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Mary Peterson Baldwin; five
daughters, Mrs. W. A. Mor
gan of Hendersonville, N. C.;
Mrs. J. D. Williams of Green
ville; Miss Leona Baldwin of
Washington, D. C.; Mrs. J.

Tenn., and Mrs. David Ken
nedy of Philadelphia, Pa.; a

113 Barksdale Circle, who
died Saturday in a local hos
pital after a long illness.
He was a native of Laurens,
son of Mrs. Bpssie Simpson
Owens of Laurens and the
late A. R. Owens. He was an
operator at Laurens Glass
Works and a member of the
Laurens First Baptist Church.
Surviving also are his wife,
Mrs. Martha Hoffman Ow
ens; a son, Fred S. Owens,
Jr., of the home; a daughter,
Miss Judy E. Owens of the
home; two brothers, Rev.
