Beat eggs until very thick and creamy; gradually add sugar and continue to beat until light yellow. Blend in salt, lemon rind, lemon juice, cream, vanilla, flour and the well-drained cottage cheese. Pour into prepared pan. Combine reserved crumb mixture and nuts; sprinkle over top. Bake 1 hour; then, turn off heat, open door and let cool in oven.
