C. is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Ray Campbell and Mr. Campbell. Johnny Lanford a student at Clemson University will spend the month of July with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford. Mr. and Mrs. Furman Bag- well and family spent Fath ers Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Knight in Fountain Inn. Mrs. Annie Sherbert and Mrs. Louise Bagwell of Fn- oree spent Saturday with their daughter and sister, Mrs their daughter and sister, Mrs. J. B. Neal and Mr. Neal. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wil liams were Sunday guests of his son, Edward Williams, Mrs. Williams and family in Newberry. Mrs. Nellie Cooley of Cali fornia is visiting her sister, Mrs. L. W. Abercrombie. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Abercrombie were their daughter, Mrs. Harold Clardy, Mr. Clardy and family of Greenville and their son, Ed ward and Mrs. Abercrombie of Marietta, Ga. Spending a few days vaca- days in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Georgetown recent ly were Mrs. Frank Walker, Mary, Jimmy and Billy Walk er, with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wrenn, Randy Wrenn, Billy, Randy and Roger Brinkley of Waterloo. Miss Beth Harvey was in Whitmire the past week visit ing her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lanford. Mr. and Mrs. Cordell San ders were in Spartanburg dur ing the past week because of an automobile accident in volving their daughters and grandchildren, Mrs. Frances Williams, Mrs. Corrine Coop er and her children on Tues day of last week. Mrs. Wil liams is. still a patient in the Spartanburg General Hospital. Bebe Laney of Greenwood is visiting Mrs. James Camp bell. Mr. Jim Dean, who is a pa tient in the Veteran’s Hospi tal was home with Mrs. Dean and family for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mor ton and Miss Kay Morton MMire recent guests of her parefHS, Mr. and Mrs. Hobby Rooks in Ora. *. . Mr. and Mrs. Bib Willard and sons of Sumter were week-end guests of his mo ther, Mrs. Claude Willard and other relatives. Tommy Ray and Mike remained for a two weeks visit with their grand mother and other relatives. Mr. apd Mrs. Vernon Ginn and fsfcmily of Simpsonville visited Sunday with her mo ther, Mrs. Willard. S 1-Q and Mrs. Toy O’ Shields' and family of Fort Belvoir, Va. are visiting her mother, Mrs. Stella McLen don and sister, Mrs. Jim Bai ley. Sgt. O’Shields will leave July 11 for a year in Vietnam. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bailey and chijWren of Charlotte, N. C. spent Saturday with his mother and grandmother and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McLendon. Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Harp er of Greenwood visited Mr. and Mrs. Homer Fuller and S. J. Todd Saturday, coming for the wedding of her neph ew, Terry Fuller to Miss Ju dy Templeton in Joanna, Sa turday evening. Mrs. E. D. Johnson and Dona of Jessup, Ga. spent Fri day with Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Samples, v Mrs.' Mack Harris, Mrs. Melvin Satterfield and Mrs. Lester Harris were in Colum bia Saturday for the funeral of the former’s brother, C. W. Edwards. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nelson of Laurens visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker Saturday. I Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Moore, Jr. and family were called to Laurens Sunday ev ening because of the death of his father. Miss Priscilla Gaskins of the Hospital School of Nurs ing in Augusta, Ga. spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gaskins. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hair ston and Wayne, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell, Marion Waters and John Chaney were among those attending the Templeton - Fuller wedding in Joanna Saturday evening. —Mr. and Mrs. Prue Waters and family were Saturday vi sitors in Greenville. Sunday dinner guests of the Waters family were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Speer of Anderson. In the afternoon the Waters family, the Speers, and Mr. and Mrs. William Burch en joyed several hours at Lake Greenwood. ? Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss, Wells and Jerry have return ed home after a visit with Mrs. Goss’ sister, Mrs. H. B. Hurt and Mr. Hurt in Aliston, Texas. While away they also visited their son and brother, Pfc. Warren Goss at Ft. Wal ters in Mineral Wells, Texas. They also enjoyed a visit to Six Flags over Texas and oth er interesting points of view there and back. Mr. and Mrs. Humphries Ballard of Donalds and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gambrell’s of Honeh Path were Sunday vis itors of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ballard. Linda and Sue Patterson of Greenwood spent the past week with their aunt and un cle, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Pace, Danny Webb is visiting the Patterson family a few days this week. Sgt. W. R. Webb is home with his family on a leave from Panama. Misses Kimberly June and Pamela Jane Storay of Green ville are spending the week with their grandmother, Mrs. Mary Fallaw and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fallaw. Miss Patterson To Be August Bride Mr. and Mrs. Fred Patter son announce the engagement of their daughter, Joyge, to Larry Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons of Clinton. The wedding is being plan ned for the month of August. With The Sick David Gaskins is a patient in Bailey Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Henry King is a medi cal patient at Bailey Memor ial Hospital. Mrs. Lois, Webb is a patient in Bailey Memorial Hospital. John Starnes is home after several weeks in the Veter an’s Hospital in Columbia. Jim Dean has returned to the Veteran’s Hospital in Co lumbia after the week-end at home. Little Jimmy Hairston, Jr. is suffering an injured head received in an automobile ac cident at Pine and Poplar Streets Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Sanders Honors 'Husband In celebration of his birth day Mr. Jimmy Sanders was honored with a hamburger fry by Mrs.' Sanders at their home on Friday evening. A number of friends and relatives enjoyed the delight ful affair. The buffet table was cov ered with a white cfpth on which ivy was entwined. Green wedding punch was poured from one of the table which held other refreshments of cup cakes, sandwiches and other party dainties carrying out the green and white motif.
