Davis returned with her

Reassessment
Program Gets
Chamber Okay
Laurens — Support for a
proposed Laurens County tax
reassessment program was
voiced by the Laurens Cham
ber of Commerce at Monday
night’s meeting of the Laur
ens County Legislative Dele
gation.
Chamber president Richard
Townsend presented a resolu
tion to the delegation pledg
ing the chamber’s support for
the reassessment plan.
The county budget for next
year, introduced in the State
House of Representatives last
week, included a $29,000 ap
propriation for expenses in
the first year of the program.
