Eichelberger end daughters, Sandra and Julia Eichelberger, were in Charleston on -Thursday for the graduation! exercises at the South Carolina Medical College. Mrs. Eichelberger’s son, John, was among those receiving diplomas. Miss Julia Kennedy, of the Thomwell Orphanage staff, will visit her sister, Mrs. N. E. Srpith, in York over the weekend and attend the wed ding of her niece, Miss Julia Kennedy Smith to Robert S. Reid op Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. Henderson Pitts Were in Spartanburg on Saturday evening lor the Wof ford alumnae dinner held at Memorial Auditorium. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Young and Miss Leanna Young of Charlotte, N. C., were in Charleston on Thursday for the graduation at the Medical College of South Carolina^ go ing especially to see their son and brother, Jinjmy, receive his diploma. Anderson was in Columbia last Wed nesday and Thursday visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Salah Kidwai. Mrs. Louise B. Anderson and John were in Macon, Ga., for the week-end where they attended the graduation exercises at Mercer Univer sity. Mrs.. Anderson’s daugh ter-in-law, Mrs. S. Paul An derson, Jr., received her de gree in law at that time. MOVE TO STATESVILLE Dr. and Mrs. Richard Mor gan and sons, Rick and Ran dy, are moving to Statesville, N. C., today. Dr. Morgan was with Presbyterian College. Mrs. Fred Scott spent the week-end in Columbia with her daughter, Mrs. Carroll Reid, and Mr. Reid, going es pecially for the graduation of her granddaughter, Linda Reid, from the University of South Carolina. Miss Barbara Eichelberger, graduate student at the Uni versity of Georgia, Athens, spent the past week-end with her mother, Mrs./H. L. Eich elberger. ^ Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Chil dress and family have recent ly moved here from Greeley- ville and are making their home on Musgrove St. He is -connected with Ascoe Felts. Mrs. Atlis Marjenhoff of Charleston and Mrs. Jimmy Christian of Elberton, Ga. are visiting their sister, Mrs. Jim McDonald on Young Dr. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bonds spent the weekend in Bre vard, N. C. Little Kristen Crowl has re turned to her home on Nor folk, Va. after spending the past three weeks with her grandmother, Mrs. R. W. Johnson. She was acoompan- ied home by her parents, Lt. and Mrs. Charles Crowl who had been attending Expo 67 in Canada. Augustus Ramage III is attending the Junior Engi neers’ and Scientists’ Semi nar now in progress at Clem- son University. It is a 13 day exploration and orientation in the sciences and engineering in the area of learing. Mrs. J. A. Davis, Sr. spent last week in Augusta with her daughter, Katherine Davis. She was joined by her sister, Mrs. P. Brooke and a friend, Miss Bessie Bankhead. Miss Davis returned with her mother and spent the week end with her and other rela tives here. Robbie Wysor, student at Fork Union, Academy, Va. has returned home to spend the summer with his mother, Mrs. Robert Wysor, Jr. ' Dr. and Mrs. D. H. McFad- den attended the graduation exercises on June 1 of their son, Wallace at the S. C. Med ical College, Charleston where he received a degree in medi cine. They were accompanied by his aunt Mrs. Edward Brailsford. Native of- Aiken County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Goss, she had lived in Clinton most of her life and was a member of the Eliza beth Street Church of God. Surviving also are her first husband, Jim Glenn; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita Mish enko and Mrs. Frances Burton of Baltimore’; , Md.; Mrs. Jeanette McCoig of Green wood, and Mrs. Kathryn Reid of Greenville; three sons, Thomas Glenn of* Clinton; Earl Glenn of Brighton. Mass., and James Glenn of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Ada Gardner of Flor ence; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Friday a 13:00 p. m. at the Church of God on Eliz abeth Street by Rev. F. D. Moore, Rev. C. W. Barnes and Rev. J. L. Jenkins. He had been accepted for membership in Alpha Omega t. Alpha, a national honor Med ical society, and was in the top ten of his class. Mrs. Myrtle Keeder, accom panied by her sister, Mrs. Sophia Collins and son, Mack and Miss Janice Pleadman visited relatives in Washing ton, D. C. and Virginia re cently. _ The campus has been un usually lovely this year. The rains have kept the grass a sea of green. Mrs. L. S. Lockett (Mar garet) is a patient at Self Me morial Hospital in. Reassessment Program Gets Chamber Okay Laurens — Support for a proposed Laurens County tax reassessment program was voiced by the Laurens Cham ber of Commerce at Monday night’s meeting of the Laur ens County Legislative Dele gation. Chamber president Richard Townsend presented a resolu tion to the delegation pledg ing the chamber’s support for the reassessment plan. The county budget for next year, introduced in the State House of Representatives last week, included a $29,000 ap propriation for expenses in the first year of the program. Susan Nelson Laurens—Susan Lynne Nel son, 6, daughter of Donald G. and Shirley Hellams Nel son, of 118 Lynne Ave., died early Sunday morning in a Greenville hospital after a short illness.
