DUST OR SPRAY:'Home
gardeners are being plagued!
with many pests. The quo#-,
tion always arises which Is
the best—a garden dust or a
spray? Both will do the job
if properly applied. Spraying
is usually more effective, but
dusting is more convenient and
more quickly done. Regard
less of the type you use, get
an early start and be sure to
follow directions closely.
LOSE TWO POUNDS A
WEEK: On a 1000 calorie •
diet a day, the normally ac- .
tive woman can lose about -
two pounds a week.
KNITTING TIP: Take a ,
wide-mouthed jar and put the
ball of yarn or thread into it.-
Take an ice pick and punch a ,
big hole in the top of the lid
and run your yarn through it. ,
This will keep the yard clean
and avoids tangling.
