^ DEAR KISSED OFF: I
think you should consider
yourself lucky to be rid of a
man of so little principle as
he’s shown. In fact, I’m sure
he did you a big favor in let

after you were married to him.
NOTE TO IN-BETWEEN:
I do agree, your wife’s con

bor woman is childish, and
you should inform your wife
that you’re steering clear of
the “cold war” and intend to
maintain friendly relations
with the neighbors as best
you can under the circum
stances. Your* attitude may
in time induce her to call off
hostilities. In any event, your
actions should cheer up your
children with the realization
that at least one of their par
ents is “grown up.”

Wheat Growers
Urged to Sign
For Compliance
Only those wheat growers
who have signed up to parti
cipate in the 1967 wheat pro
gram will be eligible for price
support loans and marketing
certificates on their 1967
wheat crop. The signup dead
line is March 17.
This further reminder was
issued by Chairman, Fred S.
Stoddard of the Agricultural
Stabilization and Conservation
Committee, who said he is
concerned for two reasons:
Signup so far would indi
cate that some farmers who
said earlier they intended to
participate have not yet sign
ed up. ASCS county offices
may not issue certificates un
der the program for acciden
tal compliance. The farmer
must declare his intention in
advance by signing up in the
program prior to the dead
line date. •
Farmers who wait until the
last minute may find the
ASCS county office crowded.
This will cause farmers per
sonal inconvenience because
delays are inevitable if every
one tries to file program ap
plications at the same time.
Farmers who are interested in
the wheat program should
check with the county ASCS
office as to how the program
applies on their farm.
