Carolina where she was a
member of Kappa Delta Epsi
lon honorary sorority. She is
a former American Field Ser-
vice^student to the Nether
lands. She is presently a first
grade teacher in Columbia.
Mr. Furr attended Clinton
High School and is a gradu
ate of Greenville High School
and the University of South
Carolina. He is the former
president of Alpha Phi Omega
service fraternity and was
vice-president of Euphradian
Literary Society. WrT Furr
was elected to Who’s Who in
American Colleges and Uni
versities. He is a junior at
the University of South Caro
lina Law School.
The wedding is planned for
the 10th of 'June at the First
Cum b e r 1 a n d Presbyterian
Church in Knoxville.

Banquet Held on Mondays
Entertaining their fathers for the annual “Dad-Daugh
ter Sweetheart Banquet,” the Blue Birds of the Clinton
Council of Camp Fire Girls, Inc., were hostesses for a
box supper on Monday evening, Feb. 13.
The event, held in Prebyterian College dining hall,
was appropriately decorated in a seasonal motif.
This was a joint affair including all four districts of Blue
Birds.
Carol Hay welcomed the fathers and the response was
given by her father, Dr. Lewis Hay.
Lynn Cooper Jr., president of Clinton Couhcil of Camp
Fire GpTs, welcomed the guests and the invocation was
given by J. Ferdinand Jacobs, Jr.
The Blue Birds sang “Father” and “Goodnight Dad
