Mrs. Charles M. Gaffney, Jr. and daughter, Donna, are residing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Summer ville, while her husband, Lt Charles M. Gaffney has a year’s tour of duty in Thai land. California Visitor Visiting with Dr. and Mrs. George Blalock several days last week was Mrs. Blalock’s aunt, Mrs. William Carrillo of Laguna Beach, California. Arriving during the weekend for a visit was the Blalock’s daughter, Almena, student al Converse College. Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Lay- ton were in Wayeross, Ga., during the weekend, going es pecially to attend the funeral services of their sister-in-law, Mrs. C. E. Layton. Dr. and Mrs. N. Carl Wes- singer and children visited Mrs. Wessinger’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Owen, in Anderson during the weekend. Among students spending several days last week with their parents and family dur ing the semester break at the University of South Carolina were Sara Sadler, Phillis Mix on, Beverly Poole, Jack Mc- Kittrick, William Milam, Lin da Burney, Dianne Claypoole, Mac Hiers and Beck Huguley. Mrs. W. W. Harris and Mrs. George Senn spent Monday in Columbia on business. Visitors From Trinity College Spending several days last weejc with Miss Sara Sadler and her family were friends from Trinity College where Miss Sadler attended school last year, Misses Mau reen Dwyer of Erie, Pa; Car- roll Fisher, Philadelphia, Pa.; Nancy Katzen, New York; and Mary Beth Then, Cherry Chase, Ind. Observe 36th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Poole observed their 36th wed ding anniversary on Wednes day, Feb. 1. Mr .and Mrs. Morris Sey mour and family spent the weekend in Bowman, Ga. with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Seymour and Mr. and Mrs. Haley Brown. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. John son, Jr., of Athens, Ga., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Sullivan were called to Charleston last Wednesday due to the death of Mrs. Sullivan’s father, Dr. Henry Barnwell. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Thomas, Mrs. Davis Holland, Mrs. Harry Wilkes, accompanied by Mrs. Evie Johnson and Miss Phobe Darnell of Joanna attended the Jeweler’s Gift Show in Charlotte during the weekend. * Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
