THE CWNTON CHBOMCIE . — - — Social Events Miss Robinson Named Counselor At Greenville Hospital , Miss Mary Frances Robin son will begin her new duties at the Greenville General Hos pital as counselor and advi sor to the student nurses on January 23. She was gradu ated from Winthrop College in December with a B. A. degree ip sociology. Miss Robinson served under the' Baptist Home Mission Board as a student summer missionary in Port Arthur, • Tpxas, in the summer of 1965. This past summer, she worked with the Laurens County Wel fare Department as a case- aid. She is the daughter oi; Mr. and Mrs. William W. Robin son of Route 1, Clinton. Auxiliary To Meet The American Legion Auxi- J liary will meet Tuesday even ing; at the home of Mrs. Perry Moore on E. Mapie St., at 8 o’clocRT The program will be on na tional defense. Century Club To Have Meet The Century Club will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 4:00 o’clock. The hostess will be Mrs. Powell Fraser. The nar rator, Mrs. Frank Boland will use as her subject, “Rivers of Ice”. All Saints" Group In Meet Monday Mrs. Bailey Dixon, newly in stalled president, presided ov er a meeting of the Women of All Saints Episcopal Church which took place Mon day morning at the home of Mrs. J. B. Hart, out-going president, on Cedar Street. A Bible study and a pro gram on Christian social re lations, a department of the woman's work of the. Episco pal • Church, were presented by Mrs. R. Michael Turner, following the opening devotion al led by Mrs. Hart. During the business sesion, reports were made by the sec retary, Mrs. E/ N. Sullivan and by the treasurer, Mrs. James Shakespeare. Mrs. James Macdonald, pltar guild chairman, listed the schedule for the coming year. The Women of All Saints’ Church will be represented by Mrs. Shakespeare at an interdenominational meeting January 24 at Greenville Din ing Hall, Presbyterian Col lege, when members of local women’s church organisa tions, will hear Leighton Ford, who is to conduct the Laur ens County Crusade for Christ here January 22-29. Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Miles Powell, vice - president of the group, are to be official delegates to the annual con vention of the Women pf the Church which is to take place January 24-25 -nj the Church of the Redeemer, Greenville.
