C., was a week-end visitor of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie S. McMil- lian. Mrs. George Taylor spent the week-end in Aiken with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Copley. VISITING IN NEW JERSEY Mrs. Rufus E. Sadler left Saturday for several days stay in New Jersey with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Doherty. Miss Sallie Anderson of Co lumbia, was the week-end guest of her nephew, Dr. D. O. Rhame, and Mrs. Rhame. Mrs. H. H. Harris returned to her home in Columbia Monday following several days visit w *tb her daughter, Mrs. Tom Addison, Mr. Ad dison and family. ATTEND PARENTS DAY Attending Parents Day week-end at The Citadel, Charleston, were Mr. and Mrs. William Shields and daughter, Jenny, and Miss Amy Jacobs; Mr. and Mrs. I. Mac Adair and Mr. and Mrs. Harry McSween and chil dren, Dickie and Miss Lu- cile McSween and Miss Kay- ran Cox who attended the festivities and the Ring Hop. Mrs. Horace C.. Smith and son, Carlton, spent the week end in Rock Hill with their daughter and sister, Miss I .aura Smith, a student at Winthrop College. Also visit ing with them was another daughter, Mrs. Rick Wells, of Laurinburg, N. C. On Sun day they attended services at the Oakland Avenue Pres- 'byterian Church. Mrs. George Senn and chil dren, Elizabeth and Foster, of Newberry wer e guests Wed nesday of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. W. W. Harris. Visit In Charleston Mr and Mrs. Goyne Simp son have returned following several weeks visit in Charles ton with Mrs. Simpson’s sis ter and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Hesse. Mrs. Judson Brehmer join ed by her brother, George Fuller of Charleston spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. Luther Belcher in Bris tol, Virginia. Mrs. Belcher had been ill hut is improving. N. A. SHOUSE Correspondent Telephone 697-6829 Shady Grove 4-H met Tues day Nov. 8 at 4 o’clock at Shady Grove Club House. Miss Susan Shouse, Pres, presided over the meeting. Devotional was given by Maxine Spivey. Following the meeting the group enjoyed games and a wiener roast. Assisting were Mrs. Carter Wright and Mrs. Clarence Hunnicutt, the local leaders. They were assisted by Misses Mary B. Tinsley and June Hunnicutt. About twenty enjoyed the outing. Hulan Howard, 3rd class petty officer of Charleston Na val Base and Mrs. Hulan Howard spent five days re cently with Mrs. Howard’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Morgan. On Sunday Mrs. J. P. Morgan entertained with a family dinner in honor of her two daughters, Mrs. Pat sy Howard and Mrs. Shirley Brewer. This dinner cele brated both daughters birth days. David Pitts Jr. t a student at Clemson University and Steve Wright, a student at University of South Carolina spent the weekend at their homes. Mr. and Mrs. George Cobb and children visited Mrs. Cobb’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Pitts Friday and Sat. while here Mr. Cobb enjoyed deer hunting. jQn Sunday Mr. and Mrs. David Pitts accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Pitss to Rock Hill to visit their sis ter, Miss Martha Pitts, who is a patient at York County Hospital.
