LOSES GRANDDAUGHTER
Mrs. Toy S. Woodruff was
called to Columbia Saturday
due to death of her infant
granddaughter. Services were
held Sunday at the Saint Paul
Lutheran Church Cemetery
near Lexington. The infant
was the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald C. Woodruff of
Columbia.

Newberry, has been promoted
to assistant overseer of weav
ing, first shift, in the Joanna
plant of Greenwood Mills.
Bouknight has been employ
ed by Greenwood Mills and
Joanna Cotton Mill since 1947.
He began work in Joanna as
an hour hand, became a
smash hand and was promot-
eid to loom fixer in 1956.
He and his family attend
the —Bush River Baptist
church, where he is a mem
ber of the choir and president
of a Sunday School class. His
hobbies include fishing and
raisifig beef cattle.
