week of 13 weeks of special
training at Fort Sill Okla. He
took his basic training at Fort
Jackson. Pvt. Hall is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Muirah of
Simpsonville, spent last week
end with Mr. and Mrs. W. B.
Murrah. Joining them on Sunday
for dinner were Mi*, and Mrs.
Tommy Brown and family and
Jack Gream of Clinton.
Recently Mr. and Mrs. S. A.
Mode visited Mr. and Mrs.' T. R.
Mode in EUenboro, N. C.
Mrs. George Morse returned on
Monday after spending the week
end with her mother, Mrs. Ada

Jennie Rae Surratt, student at
Lander College, Greenwood,
spent the week-end at home.
Jerry O’Shields spent the week
end in Cullowhee, N. C., with
friends.
ENJOY FLORIDA TRIP

Fort Pierce, Fla.
FAMILY GET-TOGETHER
On Sunday, Fred Kinard was
honored by his family with a
birthday dinner. Out of town

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Franklin

Saturday evening guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Colie Oswalt were Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph Reed and family
of Laurens.

and Mrs. Ed Hunnicutt were
their daughter, Mrs. Bertha Rog
ers of Augusta ,Ga., and two of
Mrs. Rogers’ sons, Gene and
Jimmy, and their families of

Mr. and Mrs. Barron O’Shields
were Sunday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. E. N. Sons in Little Moun
tain.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hogan were
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs.
James Bowman and family in
Hickory, N. C. While there they
all motored to Lexington, N. C.,
to visit Fred Buff before making
the return trip.
Maxie Morris is enjoying a 30-
day leave with his family on
Magnolia Street after being sta
tioned in Panama.
