Bud Fuller and family and Mn. Fuller and chil dren in Gaffney. He is to leave this week for Hunters Point near San Francisco,*"Calif., to board the hospital ship Repose. The 700-bed Repose is, being recon ditioned for duty and is being commissioned October 16, ex pecting to sail before the first of the year for the U. S. Marine base at Da Nang, South Viet Nam. Johnny Lanford of Clemson University, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford, who, with Miss Roberta Prince and Buddy Ar nold, accompanied him back Sunday afternoon. Enroute they attended the gun show at the Jack Tar Poinsett Hotel in Greenville. Miss Martha White spent the week-end in Clinton with Miss Emily Shelton. Mrs. J. B. Vanderford and daughters were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Vanderford’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Smith, in Union. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Temple ton were recent week-end guests of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Morris and relatives in Scottsburg, Ala. Mrs. Alma Harvey and Miss Maude Harvey spent the past week in Fairborn, Ohio, with the former’s son and daughter-in- law, S-Sgt. and Mrs. Jesse Har vey. Sgt. and Mrs. Harvey have just returned from three years residence in Japan. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rob erts of Greenwood, were recent guests of her brother, David Shockley, and Mrs. Shockley. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Seay and children, Vicki and Mike, of An derson, were guests of his moth er, Mrs. Joney Seay, and other relatives. Miss Gloria Jackson of Win- throp Colege, Rock Hill, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Esxie Miller, and Mr. Mil ler. - Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell visited their son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Trammell, in Greenwood Thurs day. On Saturday the Kenneth Trammells were dinner guests of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McPherson of Chester, spent Sunday with 'Mrs. McPherson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Terrell, and sis ter, Mrs. Mildred Dickerson. Mr. and Mrs. George^Attaway and children of Newberry, visit ed the former’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Motte, on Sunday. Gary Goss of the Charleston Medical College, and Warren Goss of Columbia, spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss. Mrs. Goss, Warren, Wells and Jerry were guests of Mr. and Bin. Gerald Bowen in Mllledgevile, Ga., and Mr. and Mn. Bryant McDaniel in Macon, Ga., during the week-end. Sandy Huffstetler returned home Friday after a several months stay at the Warm Springs Foundation in Warm Springs, Ga., undergoing sur gery while there. Sid Goff of Lake Murray, vis ited his sister, Mrs. Henry King, on Monday of last week. This Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Vandy Fowler of near Cross Anchor, were visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Phipps and family of Gaffney, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Her man Phipps, on Sunday. G. N. Prince of Johnson City, Term., was the guest of Mrs. Eula Quinton on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sprouse and children visited relatives in Enoree Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bodie and grandson, Donnie Pitts, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Berry in Fork Shoals. Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Dalton and family were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith. Corporal Wayne Barker visit ed his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cordell Sanders, on Fri- Parents da/. He hat just returned from the Dominican Republic. Horace Wiliams is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Oteen, N. CL, where he underwent sur gery. DAUGHTER HONORED ^Around thirty-five young friends were present Friday eve ning at the community building to 1 help Cindy Barlowe celebrate h^r birthday. The group enjoyed games, dancing and listening to records before being invited into the din ing room for refreshments. The beautiful birthday cake of white and pink centered the re freshment table. Individual cakes, ice cream, chips and cold drinks were serv ed. Cindy’s mother, Mrs. Lindy Barlowe, was assisted in enter taining by Misses Vickie Wil son and Carol English of Clinton and Misses Debbie Barlowe and Dane McCravy.
