FUNERAL SERVICES
Mrs. Hubert Pitts and sister,
Mrs. Buell Stark, were called to
Atlanta, Ga., during the weekend
to attend the funeral of the lat
ter’s grandson, Lt. W. E. Mc
Connell, who was killed in an
automobile accident in Hawaii
while on duty.
Mrs. Mary A. Beall of Wash
ington, D. C. has retired from
Federal Service and recently re
turned to Clinton to make her
home with her four sisters, the
Misses Thelma, Maude, and Sue
Wells, and Mrs. Eva Hambrick.
Mrs. Beall served for thirty-sev
en years with the General Ser
vice Administration, Public
Buildings Service. She expects
to spend some time in travelling
and visiting with her son, M. J.
Beall of Bowie and daughter,
Mrs. Miriam B. Calavan of
Hyattsville, both in the state of
Maryland. Mrs. Hambrick re
turned to Clinton with Mrs. Beall
after visiting D. C. during July
and August.
Miss Beverly Muller, student
at Anderson College, spent the
weekend with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Muller.
