Smith and family of Atlanta, visited their son and brother, B. E. Smith, Jr. and family in Homestead, Florida last week. Mrs. Ethel M. Kern, Billy, Cynthia and Michael Dunne of Columbia, Mrs. G. A. Kern of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Harrison and children, Lisa and Chuck of Laurens were guests of Miss Louise Kern Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. D. O. Rhame and Richard Rhame spent last week at Hilton Head. Johnny Glover son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Glover has return ed from ' Dayton, Washington where he has been working for the summer. He will resume his studies at Presbyterian College. Mr. and Mrs. Wirt Jennings and children, Mike, Martha, and Dottle of Birmingham, Ala. visit ed the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Braswell this past -week-end. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Nabors recently attended a high school reunion in Gainesville, Georgia, where they both taught school, Mr. Nabors was a former coach there. , - Keith Trammell son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trammell left this week for Camden, S. C. where he will attend Camden MUttary Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rogge of Charleston spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harwood Nelson. Also, Billy Nelson has returned to the University of South Carolina for the fall football practice. Miss Marjorie Arnold is visit ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Arnold for several weeks be fore her return to Williamsburg, Va., where she will be a rising Junior at the College of William and Mary. Miss Arnold has spent the summer in Williamsburg where she has worked during the summer session. < Dr. and Mrs. Richard Lyon Morgan, who recently moved to this city from Raleigh, N. C., are making their home at 904 Cedar Street. They have two sons, Rick and Randy. Billy Hamer leaves today to enroll at Camden Miltary Acad emy, Camden. He . is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert P.* Hamer. Miss Lynn Irick returned to her home in Forestville, Mary land, Monday after a visit with Mrs. Lois Glover at Thomwell Orphanage. Mrs. Raymond Pitts and Miss Agnes Davis visited friends in Columbia, recently. Mrs. O. O. Copeland, of New berry, visited-Mrs. W. C. Shealy during the week-end. Mrs. Ben Scott of Easley was the guest of Mrs. R. E. Sadler Sr. the past weekend. •Miss Ella Little McCrary, a member of the local school fac ulty, has returned from Colum bia where she spent the summer with her sister, Mrs. R. P. At Greenwood Hospital George Frady is a patient at Self Memorial Hospital in Green wood where he underwent Sur gery yesterday morning. Mr. and Mrs. James Cox, for mer residents of this city, who have made their home in Green ville for the past several years, have returned to Clinton and are making their home near Lake- wood. Mr. Cox is employed with the C. W. Anderson Hosiery Co.> James T. Johnson is spending a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pope Johnson following his ten weeks of training at San Jose State College, San Jose, California. Johnson leaves Sep tember 6 to spend two years teaching chemistry in the high schools and colleges in the Phil ippines for the Peace Corps. Mrs. Wayne Jarvis and child ren, Mike, Stanley, and Jenny, of Rock Hill, spent several days the past week with Mrs. Jarvis’ mother, Mrs. Ethel R. Pitts. Mr. Jarvis came for the weekend and accompanied them home. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Seymour and sons attended the funeral services of the latter’s uncle, George T. Brown,* in Elberton, Ga. Monday.
