Mr. and Mrs. William Blake
have returned to their home in
High Point, N. C., after spending
the Fourth holidays with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh C.

vey, of Greenville, were here
Sunday for the funeral of Mrs.
Kenneth Haselden.

dren have returned to their
home in Columbia after spend
ing several days with her
mother, Mrs. A. G. Sublett.

children are spending this week

Miss Marion Burts and mo
ther, Mrs. W. L. Burts spent
the week-end in Honea Path.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon D. Ashby
and son, Ronald, of Frankfort,
Kentucky, arrived during the
week-end for several days visit
with Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Mul
ler. Ronald remained for a long

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baker,
Sr., spent last week with their
son and family, Dr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Baker, Jr., who have
recently moved to Fort Walton
Beach, Florida where Dr. Baker
is practicing dentistry.
Warren White has returned to
his home at Virginia Beach, Va.,
after a visit with his mother
and grandmother, Mrs. O. B.

G. Stewart.
Sgt. Pete Cranford recently
visited his brother, Mr. and Mrs.
Billy Cranford and children,
Johnny and Alice while enroute
to Okinawa where he will be
stationed.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pearson
and children, Rita and Chris,
h:ve returned from a tour of
the South Carolina coast visiting
many points of interest including
the Isles of Palms and Mrytle
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. George Allen

Lakeland, Fla., were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bagwell,
Sr., during the Fourth holidays.

weeks stay with their sisters
and daughters in Massachusetts.

Dr. and Mrs. William Redd
Turner spent the holiday week
end with Mrs. Turner’s sister,
Mrs. W. P. Fleming in Macon,
Georgia.
Mrs. W. O. McGee has as house
guests Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bur
ton and Mrs. Bill Hale of Gas
tonia. Also visiting for the week
end were Mr. and Mrs. Alex Har
ris and family of Savannah, Ga.
While here they also visited
their mother, Mrs. Nancy Har
ris at Bailey Memorial Hospital
where she is a patient.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Milam and
daughter, Kathy, of Ridgewood,
N. J., are visiting the former’s
sisters, Miss Kate Milam, Mrs.
B. B. Ballard and Mr. Ballard.
Master Petty Officer Roy Ful
ler, Mrs. Fuller and their four
sons of Norfolk, Va., spent the
week-end with the former’s sis
ters, Mrs. Ben Mauldin and Mrs.
Bill Gambrell.. They were en
route to Little Rock, Ark., to
visit Mrs. Fuller’s relatives. On
Saturday, the Fullers accom
panied by Mrs. Mauldin and Mrs.
Gambrell visited another sister,
Mrs. Harold DeGroot and chil
dren in Elberton, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs, Lonnie S. Mc
Millan are visiting relatives and
friends In Prescott, Ar., and
other towns nearby. They also
visited the former’s niece, Mrs.
Grace Bryant in Mt. Ida, Ark.
Mrs. John B. Pittman and
children of Rockingham, N. C.,
are visiting her mother, Mrs.
Irene Little.

cal College Hospital in Charles
ton where he continues ill. Mr.
Copeland was transferred to
Charleston from Self Memorial
Hospital, Greenwood. Mrs. Cope
land is in Charleston with him,
HOME FROM HOSPITAL
George Corley returned home
Friday from Self Memorial Hos
pital in Greenwood where he has
been a patient for several weeks
following injuries received in an
accident, and is , convalescing
nicely.
Mrs. Horace Payne and grand
daughter, Rente HoUis, are on a
tour of northern United States
and Canada.
Ginger Brown of Mount Plea
sant is visiting her uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A.
Holland. Her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene Brown, and her sis
ter, Genie, will spend this week
end with the HoUands.
Mr. and Mrs. John W. Finney,
Jr., and son, Warren, are spend
ing several days at Myrtle
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Seymour
and boys spent the weekend in
Bowman, Georgia with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hailey

Master Bill Hill spent several
days last week with his aunt and

during the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. . Young and
daughter, Kay, left Monday for
a visit with the latter’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. McClure in
Sylacauga, Alabama. While
there, Kay will also visit in the
home of Jerry Robb and parents
in Montgomery.

children returned home Satur
day following a stay at St. Pet-
tersburg, Florida, and other
points of Interest. They were ac
companied home by Mr. Wal
dron who had joined them mi

Mr. and Mrs. R. Michael Tur
ner and daughters returned
during the weekend following a
ten day stay at Pebble Beach.
This week they are spending
some time at their cottage on
Lake Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Beckman
of Lodi, California returned by
plane to their home following
several days visit here with the
latter’s mother, Mrs. R. E. Fer
guson Sr., having been called
here due to the death, of her
brother, R. E. Ferguson Jr.
Mrs. R. E. Ferguson spent
last week with her son and
daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Ferguson and children
in Greenville.
Dr. and Mrs. Delmar Rhame
spent the 4th of July weekend
with Mrs. Rhame’s sister, Mrs.
James Murrah and Mr. Murrah
at their mountain home in North
Carolina. They were joined by
their son Richard Rhame and
Miss Rita Chandler of Columbia.

Mrs. William Shields, is spend
ing the summer months in Shel
by, N. C. where he is tennis in
structor for the city.
Spending the 4th of July week
end in Montreat, N. C. were Mr.

M. Gettys and son, Joe Jr., and

Mr. and Mrs. Hamp McDaniel
left yesterday for Asheville, N.
C., where they are visiting the
former's sister, Mrs, W. P.
Coker and Mr. Coker.
Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Neely
have returned from a two weeks
stay in New York and Maine.
They came back by Boston,
Mass., where they attended the
graduation of their son, Robert
Neely, from Harvard Business
School. Robert aiccompanied
them home.
James Holland is convalescing
at his home in Laurens following
an illness and stay at Bailey
Memorial Hospital. He is a son
of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Holland.
