Mrs. Andy Hames has retura- t ed home after a few days at ChJsrleston Medical Hospital. Miss Mary Hamrick of Hick ory, N. C. is staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Hamrick this summer. Mrs. Paul Trammell and daughter Nancy and Mrs. Ly dia Todd spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Peace and Ricky in Woodruff. Mr. And Mrs. Ralph Alexan der leave Friday for a two- weeks visit with their daughter and son-in-law Capt. and Mrs. David Smart in Omaha, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bigbee were called to Woodruff Monday ‘ due to the death of Mrs. Big- bee’s nephew, Stanley Edwards. John Hughes of Great Falls was guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adams. King visited Mr. and Mrs. David Klinck in Chattanooga, Tenn. last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rozzelle Foster and family of Fayetteville, N. C. have returned home after a visit with Mr. Foster’s parents, Mr. and Mbs. Sam Foster and other relatives here. Rev. Marion Ringer and family of Westfield, N. C. are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foster. Mr. and Mrs. Haskell William son were in Belton Monday going there to meet Mrs. Williamson’s brother from Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Heaton of Greenville visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Leopard Tuesday. Mrs. David Owens spent a few days last week in Spartanburg with her mother, Mrs. S. T. Dye and visited her sister, Mrs. W. H. McCarter in Greer. Mr. and Mrs. Joel Cox was called to Seneca last Wednesday due to the death of Mrs. Cox’s uncle, Joel Vinson. Mrs. R. B. Wilbank is recuper ating at her home after an oper ation at the Baptist Hospital in Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Canfield of Abbeville were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Cox Saturday. Rev. and Mrs. Roy Russ of Joanna and Mrs. Lola Russ and Mrs. Lydia Todd went to the singing on Grandfather Mt. Sun day. Also Mr. and Mrs. George Crouse and son from War, West Va., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Proffitt and Joe and Tom Profitt and their family. Rev. and Mrs. Cart Sexton are in Oklahoma City. Mr. Sexton was elected president of the Young People’s Group of the Pentecostal Church. Mr. Sexton is the son of the late Rev. C. J. and Mrs. Sexton of this city. Rev. Furman Entrekin of An derson is the new pastor of First Pentecostal Church on Jackson St. WOODWARD Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wood ward announce the birth of a son, Barry Gene June 10th at Bailey Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Woodward is the former Miss Josephine Bandy of War, West, Va.
