Statesmen to Appear in Clinton
The Palmetto Statesmen Chorus' of
Spartanburg will appear on the annual
Parade of Quartets in Belk Auditorium
May 1. Organized in September, 1964,
under the sponsorship of the Laurens
County Chapter, the group has appeared
at numerous civic and community af
fairs and has received many compli
ments on their ability. Tom Taylor, for
mer resident of Clinton and also a for-
mem member of the Laurens County
Chapter of Barbershoppers, is director.
Mrs. Columbus Hughes will
have a birthday May 2.
Betty Jean Harvey observed
a birthday April 23.
