Christmas company of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Poag were: Mr. and Mrs. Rill Poag of Burlington, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Poag and son, David, of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Gussie Osborne of ' Trenton: Mrs. Eddie Bostic and son, Lamar, and Mrs. Clara Bos tic of Whitmire; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Strickland of Ware Shoals ; and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Poag of Clinton. Mrs. Lillian Hamilton of Co lumbia, visited Palmer Bragg during the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Ethel Young of Anderson, spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Gogan. On the past Wednesday the Gogans attended the funeral of Hollis Coker in Belton. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cole and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Atkins at tended the Orange Bowl game in Miami, Fla. Cpl. Mrs. Alice Davenport is recup erating after undergoing surgery at the Anderson hospital. Last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. S. A. B. Willingham in Self Memorial hospital in Greenwood. On Sat urday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Skipper Lewis, Scott and Teia Noel in Cayce. Tom Furr enjoyed Christmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Furr in Clinton. Holiday guests el Mr. and Mrs. Pete Schumpert were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson and Mitch of Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Dillard and Deanna of Whitmire. A guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Simmons during the holidays was Mrs. Bessie Perry of Abbe ville. Miss Dshie Delany, student at Duke University, Durham, N. C., spent the holidays with her pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L, De lany. VISITS FORMER PASTOR Becky Craven, student at Win throp College Rock Hill, enjoyed the first part of her vacation with her mother, Mrs. Catherine Craven, and the latter part with Rev. and Mrs. James Mitchell in Orchard Park, N. Y. He is the former pastor of the First Bap tist Church. WOMAN’S CLUB TO MEET The Woman’s Club of Joanna will hold the regular monthly meeting tonight, January 7, at 7:30 at the club house.
